Eric Clapton , who last summer declared that he reserved the right to cancel performances at venues where audience members were required to show proof of Covid vaccination, has indeed canceled two shows, but for another reason: Clapton just tested positive for the coronavirus. The announcement of the show cancelations in Zurich and Milan was made on Clapton’s official Facebook page last night. “Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from Covid having tested positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall,” the post reads. He has been told by his medical advisors that if he were to resume traveling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, Promoters, their staff and of course the fans.” The performance in Zurich was scheduled for today, May 17, with Milan initially set for May 18. Clapton’s team says the guitarist hopes to resume the … [Read more...] about Eric Clapton Has Covid, Cancels Shows; Guitarist Had Denounced Vaccine Protocols

‘Kevin Can Wait’ Alum Erinn Hayes To Guest Star On Season 2 Of ‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’
This is a pretty meta casting — Kevin Can Wait alum Erinn Hayes is set to guest star on the upcoming second and final season of AMC ’s Kevin Can F**k Himself . Hayes will appear in an as-yet undisclosed role alongside series stars Annie Murphy, Mary Hollis Inboden, Eric Petersen and Alex Bonifer. Hayes played James’ wife Donna on the first season of Kevin James’ CBS comedy series Kevin Can Wait . She was let go at the end of the season and replaced by James’ former King of Queens co-star Leah Remini. Hayes’ exit was met with backlash by fans, there was a Season 2 ratings decline for Kevin Can Wait, which was eventually canceled. There has been speculation that Kevin Can F**k Himself was actually a takeoff on James’ sitcom Kevin Can Wait (the male leads are both named Kevin), although neither AMC nor Kevin Can F**k Himself producers ever suggested or stated that was the case. The first season of Kevin Can F**k Himself, which is part multi-cam … [Read more...] about ‘Kevin Can Wait’ Alum Erinn Hayes To Guest Star On Season 2 Of ‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’
Military List of UFO Sightings Has More Than Doubled in the Past Year, Navy Official Says at Hearing
Congress held its first hearing on UFOs in over 50 years on Tuesday, and it turns out there have been a lot more reported UFO — or UAP, unidentified aerial phenomenon — sightings than previously believed. A Navy intelligence official told lawmakers that the military’s database on reported sightings of UAPs now contains about 400 incidents, 250 more than the 143 included in a report released last year . Despite the uptick in reported incidents, Bray said the military has yet to find evidence of anything “nonterrestrial in origin.” One reason for the increase is that people are now describing encounters that they didn’t report at the time, said Scott Bray, deputy director of Naval intelligence. The military has also been working to remove the stigma associated with reporting UAPs, and making it easier to do so. “Navy and air force crews now have step-by-step procedures for reporting UAPs on their kneeboard, in the cockpit,” Bray added, according to NPR . Bray also cited … [Read more...] about Military List of UFO Sightings Has More Than Doubled in the Past Year, Navy Official Says at Hearing
UFO Hearing Underway, Jeremy Corbell Praises Officials’ Seriousness
@jeremycorbell / Instagram UPDATE 11:39 AM PT -- UFO expert Jeremy Corbell -- who's long been calling on the U.S. government to take UFOs seriously -- is ecstatic about the way Congress is tackling the issue in some high-profile hearings that are shedding a bit more light on the unexplained phenomena. UPDATE Corbell came on "TMZ Live" Tuesday to give us his thoughts on what he makes of the discussions being held on Capitol Hill this week -- where different congressmen have called the UFOs described by the Pentagon as legitimate threats against our national security. UPDATE TMZ.com UPDATE JC says here that he couldn't agree more, and is clearly over the moon at the idea that we as a society can finally talk about this subject out in the open and without ridicule ... which he's been working toward for years now. UPDATE On the issue of whether UFOs point to alien life in and of themselves -- he stops short of saying they're a smoking gun, … [Read more...] about UFO Hearing Underway, Jeremy Corbell Praises Officials’ Seriousness
XFL Officially Scraps Remainder Of Its First Season, Vows To Continue Next Year
The XFL has tossed in the towel on its first season, officially declaring that there’s no hope of bringing back games this year. “The COVID-19 pandemic, and the most recent local and state regulations, have left the XFL no choice but to officially cancel the remainder of the 2020 season,” the league said in a statement. “This decision has been made with the health and safety of the entire XFL family as our top priority. While we are disappointed to not complete the 2020 season, our hearts are full of appreciation for your overwhelming support.” The Vince McMahon -backed league started strong in early February, but then coped with waning interest. The league was revived this year after lasting just one season in 2001, aiming to tap into the growing appetite for sports programming and legal gambling. It had strong backing from several TV networks, bringing hope that the league could avoid its past mistakes and thrive in a world increasingly hungry for sports. The eight-team … [Read more...] about XFL Officially Scraps Remainder Of Its First Season, Vows To Continue Next Year

Madison Cawthorn Concedes Amid Orgy of Scandals
Madison Cawthorn has lost the Republican primary to represent North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, all but ensuring the 26-year-old’s career in the House of Representatives is over after two erratic years riddled with controversy. Cawthorn conceded the race to State Sen. Chuck Edwards on Tuesday night. The Associated Press confirmed later that Edwards did indeed win, and did indeed clear the 30-percent threshold the state requires to avoid a runoff. Cawthorn took advantage of the runoff format during his successful 2020 campaign after having nabbed second place in the first round of voting by a slim margin. He won’t get the chance this year. The race to replace Cawthorn was a crowded one, but Edwards was the only candidate with a real shot. His campaign was funded in part by North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis, who turned on Cawthorn, as did many of the incumbent’s colleagues in Congress. Despite the opposition of the establishment, a poll from late April showed … [Read more...] about Madison Cawthorn Concedes Amid Orgy of Scandals
Olympics Closing Ceremony Review: Johnny Weir Chills Out At K-Pop Pageant
The well-wired Asian nation’s culture and technology was heavily on patriotic display tonight in NBC ’s coverage of the Closing Ceremony of the XXIII Winter Games. However, it was the music of South Korea that really owned the beat and heart of the tape-delayed event and almost turned the Olympics into the best Grammys show you’ve probably never seen…even as politics crept in. “This is for all my bad girls around the world,” declared singer CL as the Closing Ceremony got a whole new kind of bounce with her single “The Baddest Female” and some K-Pop gold medal moves. “Let’s light it up and burn like we don’t care,” the 2NE1 alum and gold medalist Chloe Kim favorite proclaimed as the packed Olympic Stadium of 35,000 got on its feet fast. Offering a “reason to smile” and “hope in humanity” out of the Olympics, primetime host Mike Tirico eventually summed up the XXIII Winter Games tonight in pedantic geopolitical terms but that all took a backseat to pop … [Read more...] about Olympics Closing Ceremony Review: Johnny Weir Chills Out At K-Pop Pageant
