As triple j get ready to hold their annual Hottest 100 celebrations on Saturday, January 22nd, they’re doing things a little bit differently this year, kicking off the festivities with their list of the tracks that almost made it. Having revealed the 100 songs that didn’t quite make the top tonne since 2008, it’s only been since the 2012 countdown that triple j have been playing the top 200 for your listening pleasure. For close to a decade, the station have assuaged all cries of “But what about…?” by sharing the second 100 on the days following the countdown. This time around though, they’re mixing it all up, kicking off with the Hottest 200 before following on with the Hottest 100 the next day. Not only does it make a bit of chronological sense, but it’ll make it all the more exciting as the numbers slowly dwindle and we begin to wonder just where our favourite songs ended up. Actors’ Equity Disputes Strike’s Impact On Michael Jackson Musical’s Canceled Chicago Staging – Update
Update, with Equity statement Actors’ Equity isn’t shouldering the blame for the cancellation of a pre- Broadway engagement of the new Michael Jackson jukebox musical, saying any delays caused by the recent Equity strike were “modest.” “It’s incredibly disappointing that the actors and stage managers who are currently working to develop this project were not informed about a major production change before a public media announcement was made,” said Brandon Lorenz, Communications Director, Actors’ Equity Association in a statement. “The developmental lab that was scheduled for this production was delayed by 12 working days during the strike. It is difficult to understand how a modest delay in February would impact a run that was scheduled for late October.” Earlier today, producers for Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough canceled a pre-Broadway engagement in Chicago , blaming “scheduling difficulties” caused by the recently ended Actors’ Equity strike. Sam Smith’s NSFW Music Video Spurs Debate Over Age Restrictions
Getty Sam Smith 's new music video is stirring the pot for its NSFW content -- but it's also sparking debate on an interesting question ... is sexuality just a straight person's game??? The nonbinary singer dropped the visual treatment for their latest single "I'm Not Here To Make Friends," which is featured on their recently-released album, "Gloria." Safe to say, 'INHTMF' is in your face when it comes to showing off skin and sexually suggestive scenes. Sam is depicted in several eye-popping outfits, including one where their chest is on display with nipple pasties in place. There are also moments where SS is being sprayed in the face with water ... which kinda looks some something often best left behind closed doors. Of course, the backup dancers and extras are flaunting their stuff in scantily-clad getups all throughout ... so, objectively, it checks the box for a traditionally provocative project. YouTube does not have any age restrictions on Sam … [Read more...] about Sam Smith’s NSFW Music Video Spurs Debate Over Age Restrictions
