Park Stories and H.wood Media have teamed up with the U.S. Soccer Federation and Soccer United Marketing on the untitled all-access docuseries. WME is running the sales process with the series expected to launch on a streamer around the Qatar World Cup in November. The series will bring fans into the locker room and visit the players in their hometowns as they prepare for the tournament. White Lies creator Yi-An’s third film is described as a “multi-layered psychological drama” that delves into a random shooting by an ordinary teenager through six characters, a popular video game and an alternate reality. The pic was inspired by real life events from newspaper reports on random killings and stars Joseph Huang, Morning Mo, Peijia Huang, Devin Pan, Hoa-zhe Lai and Wong Yu-xuan, the latter of whom won the Best Supporting Actress award at both the Golden Horse and Taipei. The company earlier today confirmed it is set to take a 75% ownership stake in the network, with previous 50-50 owners Paramount Global and Warner Bros Discovery each retaining 12.5%. The transaction will formally close in the next few weeks. Executives articulated some of their initial plans during a 15-minute conference call with Wall Street analysts, though the presentation included only prepared remarks and no Q&A period.
