Dropping to number two in its third week of release is Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail. The comedic drama pulled in another $8.8 million, which makes its cumulative take $76 million. This is a career best for Perry, and he has already signed on to do two more films for Lionsgate. Though, it is still up in the air as to when Madea herself will return to the big screen. Also experiencing a career high this year is Liam Neeson, whose Taken remains in the number three position. Paul Blart: Mall Cop continues to be the highest grossing film of the year. Coming in at number 8, it pulled in another $7 million for a cumulative take of $121 million. And Fox's underestimated hit Taken continues to chug along. It bounced back up the chart into the number two spot with another $11.4 million. Disney's Race to Witch Mountain flew out of the gate going 100 miles per hour. The kid-friendly thriller raced into the number one spot this weekend, taken in an estimated $25 million. This was $3 million more than the opening grosses for Dwayne Johnson's 2007 comedy The Game Plan, which proved to be a substantial hit for both Disney and The Rock.
