‘Alien Files: Reopened’: Next Series From ‘Top Secret UFO Projects Declassified’ Producer Set For History And AMC In Europe

EXCLUSIVE: The truth is out there – and it’s headed to History in the UK and AMC Network’s European channels. The pair are among buyers of Alien Files: Reopened , an eight-part doc series from Top Secret UFO Projects Declassified maker Big Media about extra-terrestrial encounters and UFO sightings. AMC Networks International’s deal covers Spain, Portugal, Poland and Romania. Also on board are NTV in Germany, Slovakia TV and Czech TV. Damar Hamlin is kickstarting a campaign to spread CPR awareness and training following his on-field medical scare earlier this month ... teaming up with the American Heart Association to create the " 3 For Heart " challenge. In the midst of their third month as newly appointed DC co-Bosses, James Gunn and Peter Safran finally revealed their plans for an inter-connective universe for the comic book giant spanning largely film and TV in a strategy unlike the Warner Bros. brand has ever had before. Entitled Chapter One, “Gods and Monsters”, a portion of what will unfold between 2025-2027 includes five movies including the Gunn-penned Superman Legacy , a new Batman and Robin title, The Brave and the Bold , a Swamp Thing feature, and films centering around Supergirl and the deeper universe DC rogue squad The Authority . Noah’s Day Zero Productions has hired Chloe Ifshin as VP of Scripted Television and Eugene Han as Head of Unscripted Development. It comes after the departures of Devon Quinn and Ashley Dizon and as its television slate is ramping up with projects such as The Turning Point for MSNBC, For All Humankind for Discovery+, and Kid of the Year for Nickelodeon. The company is also developing a scripted series adaptation of Kiese Laymon’s novel Long Division. ‘The Last Of Us’ Audience Grows For Third Consecutive Week, Becoming HBO’s Fourth Current Series Averaging 15M+ Viewers Per Episode

The Last of Us doesn’t look like it’ll be losing steam any time soon. On Sunday, 6.4M people tuned in to watch the third episode of the post-apocalyptic series across HBO and HBO Max, according to Nielsen and first party data. That’s a 12% increase from last week’s viewership, which already had set a record for the largest week 2 audience growth for an HBO Original drama series in the history of the network. Sunday’s audience is also up 37% from the series premiere, which was watched same-day by 4.7M people. It only took two episodes for HBO to renew the series for a second season. It was an expected movie, considering the first episode scored the second-largest premiere after House of the Dragon since Boardwalk Empire’s launch in 2010. New York’s Ensemble Studio Theatre Names Estefanía Fadul And Graeme Gillis As Co-Artistic Directors

EXCLUSIVE: Ensemble Studio Theatre , one of New York’s premiere Off Broadway venues perhaps best known for its annual Marathon of One-Act Plays, announced today that Estefanía Fadul and Graeme Gillis have been appointed the new Co-Artistic Directors of the 55-year-old theater company. Gillis, who has been serving as Interim Artistic Director since William Carden retired in 2022 and is a long-time member of EST, will begin planning the 2023/2024 season with director/producer Fadul who will officially join the company in March. Over the past five decades, EST has developed thousands of new American plays and has grown into a company of over 600 actors, directors, playwrights, and designers. EST was founded and led by Curt Dempster beginning in 1968; he was succeeded as Artistic Director by William Carden in 2007. Fadul and Gillis mark the first co-leadership structure for the company. ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’ Tops Broadway Box Office; ‘The Piano Lesson’ Closes On High Note

The long-running The Phantom of the Opera was once again Broadway’s highest grossing show last week, taking in a mighty $2,483,532 for the week ending Jan. 29, outpacing runners-up Funny Girl ($1,872,862) and Hamilton ($1,871,921) by a noticeable margin. The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical at the Majestic has experienced a remarkable resurgence in interest (and box office) since announcing a closing date last year (the final performance, after a 35-year run, is April 16). Earlier this month, Phantom reported its 20 millionth audience member since opening in 1988. Overall, the 23 Broadway shows on the boards last week held steady with the previous week, grossing $25,705,039, with attendance of 206,578 at about 94% of capacity. The average ticket price for all the shows was $124.43, reflecting the discount pricing of some shows during the annual NYC Broadway Week promotion (which continues through Feb. 12). ‘Batman II’, James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ Get Release Dates As DC Plan Revealed

As part of James Gunn and Peter Safran ’s unveiling of their new DC Universe Chapter One, “Gods and Monsters”, the twosome announced theatrical release dates for the Gunn penned Superman Legacy , that being July 11, 2025 and Matt Reeves ’ DC else-world Batman II which is Oct. 3, 2025. Gunn and Safran declared that 2025 will be a big year for their new DC universe. Warners already had both dates on hold on the theatrical release calendar for untitled DC movies. No other studios have booked titles against them at this point in time.
