Hatred can be a positive emotion
Over the course of making this film — doing a series of interviews with women from several different industries over the course of six to eight months — I realized that it’s not just the cost of these crimes. It’s not just how traumatic they are for individuals [or] how harmful they are personally and emotionally. But also the cultural capital that we lose. That was revelatory.
