Didn't think that IT trailer could get any more unsettling? Think again, because somebody has found a way to ruin your childhood by mashing up that terrifying first IT teaser with a Dr. Seuss classic. A YouTuber has swapped out Pennywise the clown for Mike Myers ' version of The Cat in the Hat and, as silly as it may sound, it is at least as creepy as it is silly. If not more so. This totally unnecessary mashup was posted to the But Without YouTube channel and is appropriately titled, The Cat in the Hat But it's a Horror Movie . The video uses all of the same beats and flow that the first IT trailer did, but every time Pennywise would have shown up, we instead see The Cat in the Hat . Pennywise may be scarier , but there is something very creepy and unsettling about seeing the Dr. Seuss creation presented in this way. The video also does utilize some footage from the 2003 Cat in the Hat movie, but it heavily relies on the footage from the new IT trailer. … [Read more...] about IT Trailer Gets a Very Scary Cat in the Hat Mashup Video

Zootopia+ Returns to the Animal Metropolis for New Disney+ Animated Series
Coming out of Disney's fast and furious title dump during its investor day on December 10th is news that the somewhat strangely named Zootopia+ will return viewers to the "mammal metropolis' of Zootopia in a short-form series destined for Disney+. Jennifer Lee, Disney Chief Creative Officer said nothing, specifically, during her presentation to indicate that Zootopia would not eventually get a second, or even third feature animated film, but let investors and fans know that, for now, the series would satisfy their desire to revisit the unique mammalian city. The return to characters Flash, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps on the Mouse House streamer would, at the very least, test the waters for more feature films, as the characters explore megacity and its ecosystems. No details have been released and it is not certain when the series will premier. The original 2016 film, Zootopia , saw Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, become the first rabbit to join the megacity … [Read more...] about Zootopia+ Returns to the Animal Metropolis for New Disney+ Animated Series
Halloween Kills Needs to Be Seen in a Theater Says Actress Andi Matichak
Cinema fans were hoping 2021 would be the year that many much-delayed movies would finally be able to release in theaters. While it seems another spate of delays are on the horizon, horror fans are hoping the upcoming Halloween Kills will be able to keep to its October release schedule. In an interview with Halloween Kills actress Andi Matichak , who plays Laurie Strode's granddaughter Allyson, Matichak explained why the movie deserves to be seen on the big screen instead of via streaming VOD. "I've not seen the film in its entirety, [director] David's [Gordon Green] shown me some clips and some sequences of things, but I haven't seen the full film and everything I saw was a temporary score, as well, so I don't know if [composer John] Carpenter's done. Which, to be fair, I kind of don't want to. To see it in a theater, hopefully we can see it in a theater, with just the [big] sound is gonna be epic. I wasn't that bummed [about the delay], if I'm gonna be honest, and the … [Read more...] about Halloween Kills Needs to Be Seen in a Theater Says Actress Andi Matichak
Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, Jon Randall Preview ‘Marfa Tapes’ Album With ‘In His Arms’
Miranda Lambert announced her unexpected latest project , The Marfa Tapes , on Thursday. The stripped-down album is a collection of raw country tunes written and performed alongside Texas singer-songwriters Jack Ingram and Jon Randall . On Friday, Lambert, Ingram, and Randall debuted a song off the record: The sparse ballad “In His Arms” offers a preview for the album’s sonic, thematic, and atmospheric direction. “Is he playing in some house band in Dallas?” Lambert, who sings lead throughout the song, ponders. “Is he breaking horses in San Antone?” An accompanying video captures the three participants performing the song out in the deserts of West Texas, where the album was conceived. The Marfa Tapes is named after the small, trendy West Texas town that served as a writing retreat for Lambert, Randall, and Ingram in recent years. “I’ll never forget pulling into Marfa that first night at 4 a.m.,” Lambert said in a statement. “The stars were like nothing I’d ever seen … [Read more...] about Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, Jon Randall Preview ‘Marfa Tapes’ Album With ‘In His Arms’
