It just wouldn't be Halloween without a new song from the Slashstreet Boys. The guys are back with a brand-new take on the Backstreet Boys style with a horror injection. Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Leatherface and Michael Myers are here to sing "As Long As You're Bloody," and it's pretty catchy, so prepare for this one, just like their older songs, to get stuck in your head all day. Along with the song, we get another awesome video, which takes the boys out on the water in a boat for some fun in the sun. Just like the past few years, the Slashstreet Boys are brought to us by The Merkins in collaboration with Taco Truck, who shot and edited the whole thing. The horror boy band is the brainchild of Richie Clayton, Nate Vaill, and Matt Helmick, who make up The Merkins. The comedy group has been at this for a few years and horror fans look forward to each new song they put out, even if it isn't during the month of October. Just last month the group got together for a live … [Read more...] about Slashstreet Boys Are Back with a New Boy Band Horror Jam for Halloween
Halloween 3 rob zombie
Recent chatter suggests AMC may move forward on a Walking Dead spin-off that is a full-on comedy. Though without losing any of the dread or scares that come with the zombies. I'd have to imagine that Zombieland Double Tap is what it would eventually look like. Consider, Amazon already tried turning the original Zombieland movie into a sitcom. It didn't pan out. But these characters are certainly welcome on the big screen every decade or so. It's fun to be back in the good graces of Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock for a second go around. And watching their antics in 4DX makes the ride that much sweeter. A first, for me at least, is that there is snow. The movie opens with an icy white landscape, as Jesse Eisenberg's Columbus talks about his makeshift family's winter escapades in the apocalypse. During which, snow actually fell from the theater ceiling. A white drift that gently glided in front of the screen, setting up a truly immersive experience that is slightly more … [Read more...] about Zombieland: Double Tap 4DX Review: Big Fun on the Great Zombie Coaster
It's not Halloween without a trip to Elm Street! In the new series "Behind the Board," Gibson takes music fans on an inside and in-depth look at the creation of the groundbreaking music behind their favorite songs, albums and films. As Halloween is here, we are reminded that no horror film would be scary without a perfectly, bone-chilling score to accompany it. In this episode, Gibson sits down with composer Charles Bernstein to discuss the writing, performing, recording and production of some of the most unforgettable and terrifying compositions in film history and his original score for Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street which is considered to be one of the greatest horror films ever made. Charles was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and began playing music at an early age (bass, piano). His mother was a pianist for films and his father was a record producer. Charles produced Phil Spector's very first demo at the age of 15 and learned the techniques of studio recording. A fan … [Read more...] about Watch Charles Bernstein Talk About Creating the Iconic A Nightmare on Elm Street Score
After more than 20 years of gunning for young Bart Simpson, the nefarious Sideshow Bob will actually get to kill Bart Simpson this fall in the new season of The Simpsons. Don't worry, Bart won't be dead for long, since this death will happen during the show's traditional Halloween episode Treehouse of Horror 26, which often kills characters and brings them back to life the next week. Showrunner Al Jean revealed the news during the show's panel at the ATX Festival in Austin, Texas over the weekend, revealing that Bob (voiced by Kelsey Grammer), won't know what to do with himself after finally achieving his longtime goal. Here's what Al Jean had to say about Bart's demise. "He's in the Halloween show. It's a segment where, if you put two and two together, you're going to see Sideshow Bob do something he's wanted to do for a long time. I'm one of the people who always wanted the coyote to eat the Road Runner, so you can see where this is going. It's really funny. I hated frustration … [Read more...] about The Simpsons Will Finally Let Sideshow Bob Kill Bart!
Robin Thicke's been in the baby-making mood these past couple years -- and now, he's in the baby-taking mood ... as in taking cute pics with his kids for Father's Day weekend. The singer was out in Malibu Friday with his baby mama, April Love Geary, their two babies and his 9-year-old son, Julian ... whom he shares with ex Paula Patton. The family of 5 hit up the beach together, where they got an impromptu photo-op in with the kiddos in the sand ... each parent taking turns on camera and lap duty. A perfect way to ring in the holiday weekend, if you ask us ... especially considering how adorable their latest additions are. And, just check out how happy Robin looks as a new dad (yet again). The guy's absolutely beaming ... at age 42, no less. Robin and April welcomed their second child, Lola Alain, just a few months ago -- this, of course, less than a year after she gave birth to their first kid, Mia Love ... who's already over a year old and rockin' little blonde curls. AWWW!!! It … [Read more...] about Robin Thicke Kicks Off Father’s Day Weekend with Newborn & Fam
