Canadian-born comedian Nick Nemeroff passed away suddenly on Monday at age 32. His family and agency announced the news late Monday. No cause of death has been given. Nemeroff, who made appearances on Conan and performed at Just for Laughs in Montreal, was a Juno Award nominee in 2021 for his comedy album, The Pursuit of Comedy Has Ruined My Life . He was also part of CBC Gem’s The New Wave of Standup , and was most recently seen on CTV Comedy’s Roast Battle Canada . Raised in Montreal-West, Nemeroff attended the Royal West Academy and went on to graduate from the Radio and Television program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson). Warner Bros has confirmed that The Batman is back up and running. This comes two weeks after the production shut down after star Robert Pattinson tested positive for COVID-19. No word yet if Pattinson is back on set at Warner Bros Leavesden as the studio doesn’t comment on staffers’ personal status. “Following a hiatus for COVID-19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on The Batman in the UK,” said a studio rep-issued statement. Production had restarted on Batman earlier this month after a 5 1/2-month pause due to the pandemic. Three days in, Pattinson turned up positive with the coronavirus. The group’s name is SG5, and the five members are an IRL, musical take on the characters from the popular anime series, Sailor Moon . Spawning from the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon world, SG5 (“Sailor Guardians 5”) call themselves an “intergalactic pop supergroup that protects the universe from evil, injustice and negativity.” Their superpower: music, of course.
