Kenny G first raised the possibility of working with West as he warmed up for his Valentine’s Day performance. “Well, when he walked in, I was playing my sax, so I figured I would just play to him,” he told Rolling Stone hours after the special gig. “So I started playing some really sweet blues riffs and soulful riffs and a couple of jazz riffs, and I could see he thought it was really good. With the end of the year rapidly approaching, that means awards season is starting to heat up, and today we have word that one of the year's surprise box office hits could be a big awards season contender as well. Universal's Get Out, from first-time director Jordan Peele, will compete in the comedy categories for the Golden Globes this year, which could certainly be to the movie's advantage moving forward.
