CBS kicks off its 2022-23 fall season September 19 with four new shows and 18 returning series, including the 20th season of NCIS . The Real Love Boat , an unscripted version of the classic dramedy, will air on Wednesdays behind Survivor and as a lead-in to The Amazing Race . The competition dating show has been described as bringing “singles together to cruise the Mediterranean on a luxury cruise ship while looking for love.” New time periods were also assigned to Ghosts , S.W.A.T. , NCIS: Los Angeles and CSI: Las Vegas . EXCLUSIVE : Well Go USA Entertainment has expanded its slate of Korean films, acquiring North American rights to titles including Alienoid , Hansan: Rising Dragon , Gangnam Zombie , The Ghost Station and The Assassin . While the international and indie distributor has set theatrical releases in place for Alienoid and Hansan , plans for the other three films have not yet been finalized. Alienoid is the first in a series of two big-budget sci-fi films from director Choi Dong-hoon. Ryu Jun-Yeol, Kim Woo-bin and Kim Tae-ri star in the pic, which is being distributed in Korea by CJ ENM. Directed by Kim Han-min and starring Park Hae-il, Byun Yo-han and Ahn Sung-ki, Hansan: Rising Dragon is a follow-up to 2014’s The Admiral: Roaring Currents —the most-watched film in Korean cinema history—which brings to life the historic Battle of Hansan Island. In a career spanning over four decades, Anil Kapoor has enthralled the audience with impressive performances in Hindi films. EXCLUSIVE : Screen Gems has acquired the rights to Crypt TV ’s horror Island of the Dolls , based on the infamous, true story of La Isla de las Munecas south of Mexico City, in a competitive situation. Located in the channels of Xochimilco, La Isla has become a tourist attraction with a mysterious and horrifying history. For decades, dolls were placed all over the island by former owner Julian Santana Barrera, as he believed they would help chase away the spirit of a girl who had drowned nearby years before. The island has previously been featured on the Travel Channel show Ghost Adventures , as well as BuzzFeed Unsolved . Jack Davis and Darren Brandl will produce the Island of the Dolls film for Crypt TV, alongside Ana de Diego of Spark & Riot, who brought the story to Crypt and was key in acquiring the rights. This will easily send the Tom Cruise movie past the half-billion point at the domestic box office; the pic already is the actor’s highest grossing of all time with $900 million-plus worldwide .
