Fox Corp. is planning a major building overhaul and expansion of its Century City lot including nine new soundstages as well as a media campus, office space and focus on related transportation infrastructure. Los Angeles continues to struggle to meet the demand for soundstages, which increasingly is driving production and entertainment jobs outside the region. The project, called Fox Future, will bring the number of stages to 24. Additional stages will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and designed for modern film, television and other content. A new LEED Platinum-designed media campus office building will support lot operations. Located on the Lot along Olympic Boulevard, the 24-floor building will focus on creating collaborative open spaces and shared and private offices, all designed specifically for film and TV production. Liam Neeson is set to reteam with director Neil Jordan ( The Crying Game ) on upcoming thriller The Riker’s Ghost , we can reveal. Parallel Film’s Alan Moloney ( Albert Nobbs ) and Endurance Media’s Steve Richards ( Freelance ) will produce. Jake Katofsky and Susan Mullen will co-produce with Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes director Rupert Wyatt also serving as producer. In addition to producing, Richards’ Endurance will also finance. Taken and Schindler’s List star Neeson will play a convict set for release who is forced to break a terrorist out of prison. Tony Dow , the actor who personified the role of America’s big brother as the elder sibling Wally Cleaver on the TV classic sitcom Leave It to Beaver , died today. Lance Reddick , a prolific actor who played Charon in all four John Wick films and was a series regular on The Wire , Fringe and Bosch among dozens of other roles spanning a quarter-century, died today. He was 60. His rep at Portrait PR confirmed the news, saying he died of natural causes but not providing other details. The actor had been doing interviews for the upcoming John Wick: Chapter Four starring Keanu Reeves just this week. He also was set to appear in the franchise-spinoff pic Ballerina. Reddick began his screen career in the mid-1990s, guesting on such series as The Nanny and New York Undercover. Later in the decade, he appeared on the big screen in pics including Great Expectations and The Siege before recurring on HBO’s Emmy-winning 2000 miniseries The Corner , which was based on David Simon’s book.
