[email protected] had the best reaction when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's carriage went past him! #royalwedding pic.twitter.com/M87Fk2hviL — TODAY (@TODAYshow) May 19, 2018 A fair number of newscasters were live from Windsor Castle today for the royal wedding, and when the royal couple’s carriage went by after the ceremony, they all understandably got very excited. Al Roker may have honestly been the most excited of all. As you can hear in the video above, he calls out to Meghan Markle, the new Duchess of Sussex, and was clearly loving every minute of this. But he wasn’t the only one. Over on MSNBC, Stephanie Ruhle and Katy Tur shouted out and waved to the royal couple as well: Over on CBS, Gayle King waved from the balcony and shouted hello to Harry and Meghan: WATCH: @GayleKing shouts and waves at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they pass by her balcony: "Hi, Harry and Meghan!!" 👋 #RoyalWedding #RoyalThisMorning #HarryandMeghan https://t.co/tddhkl1mAI … [Read more...] about Watch Al Roker, Gayle King, and More Barely Contain Their Excitement as Royal Couple’s Carriage Goes By

On Tuesday night, Gayle King weighed in on the controversy that has plagued the White House regarding a leaked joke at the expense of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). Last week, White House aide Kelly Sadler had dismissed McCain’s dissent of Gina Haspel, President Trump‘s nominee to become the next CIA Director, by saying his vote doesn’t matter since he’s “dying anyway.” Neither Sadler nor the White House have yet to apologize for the remark. Appearing on The Daily Show, the CBS This Morning host briefly shared her thoughts after Trevor Noah blasted the White House for it earlier in the show. “Don’t you think, Trevor, that if they finally come out and apologize now, will it still mean something when I have to beat you up to give me an apology?” King asked. “Does that really- does that feel good to you if I have to embarrass you to apologize for something?” Noah responded by saying many people want the White House to … [Read more...] about Gayle King: Would a WH Apology Over McCain Remark Mean Anything ‘If I Had To Beat You Up’ For It?

CBS News’s Gayle King pressed House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday morning over his relationship with President Trump and his decision to not pursue re-election. As the outgoing House Speaker spoke with CBS, King brought up the critics who wondered why Ryan rarely stood up to Trump over his various controversies, even when they were “personally offensive to you.” Ryan insisted that he has “very good dialogue” with the president, that he’s happy with the GOP’s political accomplishments, and that his retirement from Capitol Hill has nothing to do with any “Trump fatigue.” King continued to grill Ryan on whether Trump’s antics ever made his job more difficult, asking him “do you ever feel that you had to compromise your personal values to play along and get along?” “We obviously have our differences and we have disagreed publicly and privately, but I do believe I’ve been doing things that are in … [Read more...] about Gayle King Grills Paul Ryan on Exit: Did You ‘Compromise Your Personal Values’ For Trump?
