Game thrones season 7
4 minutes ago The creative powers behind Game of Thrones have heard the criticisms about Season 7's pacing, and they have a response. Last season, critics took aim on social media and elsewhere, regarding the penultimate installment's timeline. The criticism arguably reached its crescendo with the penultimate episode of the season – "Beyond the Wall." Ahead of the Season 8 premiere, Game of Thrones' co-executive producer Bryan Cogman has responded to the response from some of the fans. In fact, he also explained why the show chose to ramp up its pace, noting, The choice to "get on with it" as Bryan Cogman mentioned to EW was much appreciated by some fans of the long-running series, including this one. As fun as road trip movies are, it is nice to arrive at a destination or two and quickly. Game of Thrones' pace has been more of an issue for me in the past, so I actually felt it was nice to have things move a little more swiftly. Would it have been nice to spare a … [Read more...] about Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Pacing Problems Were ‘A Choice,” Says Producer
56 seconds ago What is HBO going to do without Game of Thrones? What are any of us going to do? Season 8 will only air six episodes, starting April 14, and then that's it. It's been almost two full years since Season 7 aired, and HBO held off on feeding fans the official Season 8 trailer until just a couple of days ago. The anticipation paid off and led to a new viewing record for HBO. According to HBO (via TheWrap), the Game of Thrones Season 8 official trailer was viewed 81 million times across Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube within the first 24 hours of posting. That topped the previous 24-hour record by 20 million -- that record was from the Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer in 2017, which got 61 million views in its first day. How did the final season trailer get 20 million more views? Maybe because fans watched a dozen times each to analyze every square inch of footage for clues. Game of Thrones was probably smart to hold off sharing much of anything before this trailer, … [Read more...] about The Game Of Thrones Season 8 Trailer Set A Huge New Viewing Record For HBO
14 minutes ago HBO just unleashed 14 new photos from Game of Thrones Season 8. Sure, it's not the official trailer everyone is clamoring for, but it's more than just something. The photos may not reveal much, but they highlight Team Dany/Jon in the North, with a couple of photos of Cersei Lannister in King's Landing. The showrunners love their secrets, so they are probably hiding some other character and location twists for either the full trailer or (more likely) the April 14 premiere itself. The photo of now heavily bearded Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) caught my attention. He is giving someone a bit more than just a Mona Lisa smile in the image below. Where exactly is he, and who is the beneficiary of this merry-eyed glance? Where is Jaime Lannister? I'm guessing Winterfell. Somewhere in the north is a safe guess. He's more bearded now and changed out of his King's Landing garb. He looks Full North. Who is he smiling at? Maybe Brienne of Tarth? She has a new … [Read more...] about Who The Heck Is Jaime Smiling At In New Game Of Thrones Season 8 Image?
x “He’s never been a bastard… he’s the heir to the Iron Throne.” That bombshell was dropped on fans during the concluding moments of Game of Thrones season 7, when it was revealed that Jon Snow wasn’t actually Jon Snow at all. Rather, he was Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. One glance at the Thrones family tree tells us that Kit Harington’s hero is actually the nephew of Danereys, which will no doubt make for for some complications going into the upcoming final season. Speaking of which, as we quickly approach its premiere, the hype train continues to build and speaking at the Golden Globes last weekend, HBO CEO Richard Plepler said that every episode of the new run feels like a movie. “It’s a spectacle. [David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] have done six movies. The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie,’…They knew the bar was high. … [Read more...] about Every Episode Of Game Of Thrones Season 8 Will Feel Like A Movie
