Forecast for this weekend
The Detroit News Published 9:24 AM EST Nov 9, 2018 It will feel more like December than November this weekend with temperatures struggling to get to the high 30s, weather experts said Friday. A cold blast is expected to put Metro Detroit in the 30s during the day and the 20s at night with light snow showers in the Metro region and scant accumulation. "It's going to look winter-like," said meteorologist Steven Freitag of the National Weather Service in White Lake Township. "We're going to have a big cold blast come in for this weekend." On Friday, Metro Detroit may get one to two inches of snow but "that's just predominately on the grassy surfaces so roads really shouldn't be an issue, especially during the daylight hours," Freitag said. It's Lake Michigan effect snow, he added. The high for Friday will be 39 degrees with lows dipping around 24. On Saturday, expect more snow showers with the high near 37 and the low temperature at 25 degrees, with the same 37-degree … [Read more...] about Winter-like weather coming for the weekend

The Detroit News Published 4:29 p.m. UTC Jul 20, 2018 After a string of sunny days, Metro Detroit will get some rain showers going into the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, a low pressure system that's slowly edging eastward over Wisconsin will cover Michigan later Friday and Saturday, bringing higher percentages of showers that taper off Sunday. There's a 30 percent chance for thunderstorms for Friday night that turns into 50 percent overnight. Then on Saturday, the chance for rainshowers increases to 70 percent "but it will still be on and off," said Alex Manion of the National Weather Service. On Sunday, there will be a 30-percent chance of lingering rain showers during the early morning hours. "The overall weather pattern is fairly atypical to see a lingering low pressure that sits over us," Manion said. "It's more a transition phase when we see this. Both today and tomorrow, it will be mostly cloudy, you'll have some periods of dry weather, and perhaps get … [Read more...] about Rain in the forecast for the weekend

But May 12-13 still should be nice enough to get out and enjoy the many fun events happening across north Norfolk, even if it might be wise to take your brolly. The Met has forecast highs of 12 to 13 degrees for Cromer and Sheringham on both Saturday and Sunday. And according to Norwich-based forecasting service Weatherquest, moderate rain will develop during the afternoon.
