Leaving Neverland attracted an audience of 2.1 million with a peak of 2.4 million after it debuted in the UK. The four-hour long documentary – which is being broadcast by Channel 4 in two parts – follows Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who allege they were sexually abused by Michael Jackson when they were minors. On Thursday morning, the broadcaster revealed that a peak audience of 2.4 million tuned in to the feature length first part, averaging an audience of 2.1 million in its mammoth 9-11pm slot. It enjoyed a 20.5 per cent share of the audience for the time slot and proved the most popular programme with 16-34 year olds.
