EXCLUSIVE: Nicola Adams , the Olympic boxing champion and LGBT icon, will be the subject of feature documentary Lioness: The Nicola Adams Story. The project comes from Salon Pictures , the producers of the BAFTA nominated fashion doc McQueen , and director Helena Coan, whose credits include Audrey , about the screen icon. Salon’s Nick Taussig and Annabel Wigoder are producing with Laure Vaysse of Rep Productions ( Billie ). The movie is now in production and Film Constellation has boarded sales ahead of the European Film Market, with UK rights already having been snapped up. The film will chart Adams’ rise from the streets of Leeds to being a boxing champion as well as a notably rare LGBT sports figure. FINAL UPDATE, Monday PM: All numbers are in, and Disney / Marvel ’s record domestic weekend moola marathon for Avengers: Endgame will settle at $357.1M . Disney called the weekend at $350M, but when you’re dealing with such high numbers and records, you don’t want to walk any money back on Monday. The rest of the town knew it was north of $354M on Sunday morning. Today we hear that Endgame is poised to make $33M-$35M which is awesome and easily the third best Monday of all-time, behind Black Panther ‘s all-time Presidents Day haul of $40.15M and the first Monday after Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($40.1M). Hayao Miyazaki ’s 2001 Oscar winning animated film, Spirited Away (Sen To Chihiro No Kamikakushi) , has been set for a stage production which will have its world premiere in Tokyo in 2022. This is the first-ever stage adaptation of the beloved movie and will be written and directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner and Honorary Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, John Caird ( Les Misérables, Nicholas Nickleby, Daddy Long Legs ). Japanese giant Toho is behind the project. The original film, from Studio Ghibli , went on to become the highest-grossing movie ever in Japan, holding the spot for 19 years and only recently being overtaken by Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train .
