Biden Wants to Return to In-Person School, May Use NFL Stadiums for Mass Vaccinations

· February 8, 2021 ·

President Joe Biden appeared in an interview with CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell, portions of which aired before the Super Bowl, where he discussed the challenges his administration faces amid the pandemic. Topics ranged from how to safely return to in-person school to how he will ramp up vaccinations and his approach to Iran. “I think it’s time for schools to reopen safely. Safely,” Biden said, adding that children have been “going through a lot,” but he emphasized that districts will need to make modifications first. “You have to have fewer people in the classroom. You have to have ventilation systems that have been reworked. Our CDC commissioner is going to be coming out with science-based judgment, within I think as early as Wednesday as to lay out what the minimum requirements are.” “I think it’s time for schools to reopen safely,” Pres. Biden tells @NorahODonnell. In addition to smaller class sizes and reworked … [Read more...] about Biden Wants to Return to In-Person School, May Use NFL Stadiums for Mass Vaccinations

Eagles’ 1st Super Bowl Win Draws 103.4M Viewers, Smallest Audience In Nine Years – Update

· February 5, 2018 ·

UPDATE, 1:13 PM: As late as it went and as rowdy as it got, the City of Brotherly Love made pretty swift progress this morning picking up the debris of last night’s victory celebrations for the Philadelphia Eagles’ first Super Bowl win ever. The official parade in Philly for the 41-33 triumph over the New England Patriots isn’t until February 8 but there is certainly one element of Super Bowl LII that wasn’t champion – the ratings With 103.4 million watching, last night’s game on NBC from Minneapolis is down 7% from the total set of network eyeballs from the 2017 Super Bowl. A steeper fall than even the declining the stock market today, that’s the worst the Super Bowl has done since 2009 when the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-23 defeat of the Arizona Cardinals scored 98.7 million viewers. Maroon 5’s Terrible Super Bowl Halftime Show Lacks Lift-Off Or Soul – Review

· February 3, 2019 ·

Coming out of the first half of a very low scoring 3-0 Super Bowl match-up today between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, Adam Levine and Maroon 5 proved conclusively that they could pull off a halftime show that put Justin Timberlake to shame – at least when it came to ill-considered timing and strongly bleached blandness… and that’s a feat. Nobody’s first choice for the once-coveted spot and fighting the backlash from those calling for a boycott in a sign of solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, The Voice coach and crew made last year’s staid effort by the former N’Sync star almost positively cutting edge with their Super Bowl LIII rollout of tried and tired hits and poses.
