EXCLUSIVE: When it comes to which major studio’s trailers fared the best during the Super Bowl, it stands to reason that it would be Marvel ’s upcoming Disney + series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . The series which reteams Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Bruhl from the Avengers -verse drew 125M views (that’s from its spot and trailer traffic combined) in the 24 hours following the big game. This is according to social media analytic sources. Not only is that figure a record for a streaming series trailer, but it squashes a number of other trailer viewing titles as well, i.e. last year’s Black Widow Super Bowl Spot which drew 119M in its first 24 hours, as well as WandaVision ‘s 53M in the 24 hours following its airing on last September’s Primetime Emmys (the previous trailer record-holder for a streaming series). For those complaing that WandaVision moves too slow, this looks like nothing but big MCU action. Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The studio took advantage of the Super Bowl to promote the highly anticipated Disney+ series. WandaVision is currently streaming and keeping all Marvel Cinematic Universe fans on their toes with the mystery. Each week, the series peels away more layers to slowly let everybody know what exactly is happening within Wanda Maximoff's current reality. In figures released this morning by CBS Sports, the big game had a total audience of 96.4 million viewers on CBS and a bundle of platforms and outlets. Confirming the suspicions that many had even going into the match-u between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs, that is the least watched Super Bowl in history. It's true. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier trailer smashed Super Bowl viewing ratings this past Sunday. The upcoming Disney+ series is one of the most-anticipated projects of the year, and the action-packed new trailer has raised the excitement bar even higher. While WandaVision has been a slow burn mystery, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier appears to be more of a traditional Marvel Cinematic Universe offering, at least based on the short amounts of footage we've see thus far. Confirming suspicions that many had even going into the matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs , that is the least-watched Super Bowl in recent history. With around 91.6 million viewers on CBS alone, the 2021 Super Bowl is still the most watched show of the past year.
