A week after a New York judge rejected AMC ’s efforts to have Frank Darabont and CAA ’s claims to more profits from The Walking Dead dismissed, a newish brouhaha has flared up between both sides’ lawyers. In a sense, it’s not totally unexpected in a case that has seen even odder-than-usual accusations and occasions from both the fired and former TWD EP and his agency and the cabler in the more than two years the matter has been before the courts . This latest venting started on Tuesday, when AMC’s attorney Aaron Marks wrote a letter to Judge Eileen Branston “pursuant to Your Honor’s request during oral argument last week.” Going back and forth with AMC lawyer John Berlinski at the February 9 hearing, the New York Supreme Court judge had said that she would take a “relook” based on “some additional issues” raised. Not a big surprise that Disney Channel has picked up a second season of Girl Meets World . Since its June premiere, the comedy has ranked as TV’s No. 1 series among kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer and Corey Fogelmanis star in the Boy Meets World spinoff series created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly. The Sundance Institute has selected the 11 screenwriters that will participate in the ninth annual Screenwriters Intensive which will take place digitally on March 4-5. The writers selected are Radhika Apte , William Kwok , Tulica Singh , Timothy Ware , Daniel Klein , Jo Hatcher , Chy Chi , Xavier Coleman , Joyce Sherri , Brian Robau and Jessica Mendez Siqueiros . The Intensive is a two-day workshop for emerging independent writers and writer/directors developing their first fiction features. The writers, which are from traditionally underrepresented communities, will have the opportunity to refine their stories under the guidance of established writers and the Institute’s Feature Film Program, led by Ilyse McKimmie, Deputy Director, Sundance Institute Feature Film Program, and the program’s Founding Director, Michelle Satter .
