The more than $10 million breach of contract lawsuit just filed over the 2018 Melissa McCarthy starrer Life of the Party may prove a party pooper for the Ghostbusters actress, Warner Bros , director Ben Falcone , the Gersh Agency, agent Sean Barclay, and Brett Ratner and his RatPac banner. “Plaintiff formally pitched the Concepts to the Gersh Defendants in 2014, and was informed that the Concepts had significant commercial likelihood of success,” a jury-seeking suit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court says. “At this meeting, the script, ideas, story and treatment referred to herein were discussed and presented to the Gersh Defendants, and details were further discussed at length,” adds the five-claim complaint ( read it here ). Latest The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Footage Confirms X-Men Are Coming to the MCU?
It arrived last night. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier full trailer is finally here and unlike WandaVision, it appears to be a head-on action-thriller fiesta with less room for head-scratching mysteries. In fact, its trailer has even put the stamp of confirmation on the much-anticipated arrival of the X-Men in the wide world of the MCU and maybe, just maybe, set the stage for Wolverine as well. Much of the action-packed trailer focuses on the aftermath of the Avenger: Endgame scene which saw an elderly Steve Rogers pass on the shield to Sam Wilson. We get to see Falcon using the shield for the first time, though in another scene both Sam and Bucky Barnes are seen practicing with the shield. As we already know, Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo is back along with his comic book accurate mask. But looks like he is not going to be the only villain in the story as Bucky is seen having a particularly life-threatening tussle with a group of masked guerrillas. While Wyatt Russell's debut as … [Read more...] about Latest The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Footage Confirms X-Men Are Coming to the MCU?
Michael B. Jordan Amazon Alexa Spot Crushes Competition In Post-Super Bowl Social Media Reach
EXCLUSIVE: This year, it wasn’t a movie trailer that was all the buzz following the Super Bowl , but rather Michael B. Jordan as Alexa. Given the unpredictable environment of the pandemic, and movie theaters largely still shuttered coast to coast, most of the major studios cut their supply of trailers during Super Bowl LV on Sunday. Those that decided to air saw some eyeballs but not nearly as much as in years past. Assessing strictly the 24-hour post-game traffic across YouTube views, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, RelishMix reports that Amazon’s Alexa ad, featuring Jordan, the star of their upcoming movie Without Remorse, drew 110.6 million views. Broken down, “Alexa’s Body” saw 20.7M views on Twitter, 12.3M on Facebook and 77.7M YouTube views. The Jordan Amazon Alexa 24-hour number is just under what F9 drew in its 24 hours following Super Bowl last year (110.9M views). Star Wars 8 Wants a Strong Female Lead?
With demand for stronger female roles at an all-time high and Kathleen Kennedy driving the ship as an executive producer, you can expect that we'll see more women emerging amongst the stars in that galaxy far, far away . LucasFilm and director Rian Johnson are rumored to be seeking a strong female lead for the next sequel Star Wars: Episode VIII . This comes after Star Wars: The Force Awakens upped the female ante quite a bit. It features three main female characters that include Daisy Ridley as Rey, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata (a mo-cap/CGI creation) and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma (who wears a chrome stormtrooper getup for the majority of the film). Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has Felicity Jones as its central character (though she is surrounded by an otherwise all-male cast). When the Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast was announced, it came under fire for only having one new central female character in Daisy Ridley , who was joining the … [Read more...] about Star Wars 8 Wants a Strong Female Lead?
