James Bond star Eva Green has said she feared making A Patriot could have killed her career as she took the stand in a legal battle with White Lantern Films, producer of the doomed British movie. Green, whose credits include 2006’s Casino Royale and Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City , is suing White Lantern and SMC Speciality Finance for $1 million, the fee she says she is owed due to the collapse of the project in 2019. Green was due to star in and executive produce the pic. Speaking at the High Court in London, Green said the script for A Patriot was one of the best she had read, and she “really fell in love” with the story, Reuters news agency reported. “It was very exciting, a role of a soldier, which I have never played before. It was about climate change. It was very dear to my heart,” she told the court, Reuters reported. The Göteborg Film Festival has unveiled the 53 Nordic Films that will take part in the latest edition of the Nordic Film Market , running February 2 – 5. Scroll down for the list. The line-up consists of 17 completed feature films, 15 works in progress, 11 films in development presented at the market’s co-financing platform Discovery, and another 10 features in development from up-and-coming Swedish creators at Talent to Watch. The 2023 edition of Nordic Film Market will comprise a full on-site event in Göteborg alongside digital screenings on the festival’s dedicated industry platform. This year the festival has said close to 500 invited buyers, distributors, sales agents, producers, festival programmers, and other key industry delegates from 32 countries are expected to attend. McIlhargey, who previously worked at companies including New Regency and Silver Pictures, will be responsible for building a slate of live-action and animated film and TV projects and overseeing the respective content teams. The hire comes on the heels of PMI’s investment and first look distribution deal with WSS for film and TV. Mcllhargey was an executive at Joe Roth’s Revolution Studios and later moved to Joel Silver’s Silver Pictures where he was an executive producer on Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla .
