Here's what we know about her. Who is Natalie Nunn? Natalie Nunn was born in Concord, California in 1984. She had always been sporty, running on her high school track team and playing on the Trojan's women's football team at the University of Southern California. That’s the realm of Jimmie Walker, who remains best-known for playing J.J. on the 1970s sitcom “Good Times” and delivering time and again the punchline “DY-NO-MITE,” even though he’d been doing radio and stand-up long before that show. Good Girls Season 2 renewal by NBC came without an episode count, according to Deadline, but there's no reason to suspect the show will see any fewer episodes than the ten it received for Season 1. Good Girls will also be the first NBC freshman series to earn a renewal, which could mean that even without top-tier ratings, the star-studded series is being held in high regard by network execs. … [Read more...] about Good Girls Renewed For Season 2 At NBC

The Amazon series Good Girls Revolt, centered on a landmark 1970 gender-discrimination case at Newsweek, is the kind of period drama that’s more interested in commenting on the present than recreating the past. The storyline, about professional journalists, plays fast and loose with the facts, and creator Dana Calvo (Made in Jersey) employs the designation “inspired by” to characterize her drama’s relationship with Lynn Povich’s 2012 nonfiction book, The Good Girls Revolt: How the Women of Newsweek Sued Their Bosses and Changed the Workplace. Calvo portrays the bad old days of an openly sexist workplace in a postfeminist glow, as if the only problem for women’s advancement was the lack of opportunity. The events of Good Girls Revolt take place from December 1969 to March 1970, and characters at the fictional News of the Week magazine report on real events. This approach can mean embracing the source material — as in an arc detailing a … [Read more...] about Rose-Colored Sexism: Good Girls Revolt Makes the ’70s Look Less Anti-Woman Than 2016
