EXCLUSIVE : Veteran broadcasting executive Andy King has joined Buchwald to head the agency’s podcast division. In his new role, he will lead the development of client podcast concepts and guide talent through the process of podcast creation, from ideation to distribution. His hiring will also bolster Buchwald Sports, which represents athletes, sports broadcasters and coaches, at the same time strengthening the agency’s sports marketing initiative. King joins Buchwald from SiriusXM , where he served as Director of Sports Programming, managing numerous brand partner channels. Reba McEntire has joined David E. Kelley’s ABC drama Big Sky as a series regular for the upcoming third season. McEntire will play Sunny Brick, the mercurial matriarch of the Brick Family, a successful backcountry outfitter with a secret history of missing customers. McEntire will join new series regular cast members Jensen Ackles, who guest-stars in the upcoming Season 2 finale and will continue his role as Beau Arlen in Season 3, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who recurred as Tonya in Season 2 and was promoted to series regular for the upcoming season. Big Sky, based on the books by C.J. Box, follows private detective Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and her former partner, Undersheriff Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick), as they investigate local crimes, taking on drug syndicates, notorious kidnappers, crime dynasties and more along the way. Deadline recently announced their latest project under the banner for Onyx, the limited docuseries Gigante , in collaboration with Don Francisco. Producing unscripted and scripted feature films, series, and podcasts, Trojan Horse recently co-produced the four-part docuseries Menudo: Forever Young , directed by Angel Manuel Soto and Kristofer Rios. The series is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival ahead of its June 23 release on HBO Max. Fumero executive produced the project.
