‘Tulsa King’: Annabella Sciorra To Portray Sylvester Stallone’s Sister In Taylor Sheridan Series

EXCLUSIVE: Annabella Sciorra ( The Sopranos ) has joined the cast of the Paramount+ series Tulsa King from executive producers Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter, who also serves as writer and showrunner. She will play Joanne, Dwight’s ( Sylvester Stallone ) younger sister who lives in Brooklyn. Sciorra and Stallone previously co-starred in the James Mangold film Cop Land released in 1997. Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) after he is released from prison after 25 years and is unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet. Sabrina Carpenter Is Taking Her Emails on the Road With Fall Tour

Sabrina Carpenter can read our minds, after all. On Monday, the “Fast Times” singer announced the dates for her fall tour, alongside its retro poster, to support her recently-released album, Emails I Can’t Send . The U.S. trek is the first time she has hit the road since her Singular tour in spring 2019. “IM GOING ON TOUR,” she captioned the announcement. “WAKE UP,” she added. Carpenter will kick off her Emails I Can’t Send tour in Orlando in late September before making her way to the Bay Area to perform at the Regency Ballroom. The Television Academy has named the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media as the 2022 Governors Award recipient for their efforts in promoting gender equality in the entertainment industry. “Since 2004, the institute has been fighting for equality and representation, long before it was comfortable to take that stand. The Television Academy is honored to add the organization to the prestigious list of recipients,” said Governors Award selection committee co-Chair Kim Taylor-Coleman. “The institute’s work continues to result in real-world changes that have an impact far beyond the soundstages and locations we show up at every day,” added committee co-Chair Michael Spiller. At the end of a day that saw about 70 (14%) staffers in his divisions getting laid off, Casey Bloys , Chief Content Officer for HBO & HBO Max , just sent an email to his team about the cuts as well as his new (old) senior HBO/Max scripted executive team of Amy Gravitt, Francesca Orsi and Sarah Aubrey, which includes new responsibilities for Gravitt and Aubrey. Coalition Of 1,425 Showrunners & Directors Raises $2.5M To Help Women Gain Access To Abortions While Calling On Studios To Step Up

A coalition of 1,425 showrunners and directors has raised $2.5 million to help women gain access to abortion services in states where they’re now illegal. Organizers of Hollywood4AbortionAccess hope to raise another $2.5 million to help women across the country – not just those working in the entertainment industry. The money will go to the National Network of Abortion Funds. Organizers are also calling on the major studios to adopt plans to “guarantee that all employees and other production workers in need of emergency reproductive healthcare can be transported expeditiously across state lines” if they live in states where abortions are now illegal in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade .
