Kevin Smith is getting teary eyed again over the fact that he just announced that composer Bear McCreary is scoring Master of the Universe: Revelation. In addition to making the announcement, the director shared the very first piece of music that McCreary sent over, which nearly brought Smith to tears. From the sound of things, Netflix's anime series based on the He-Man franchise is going to be pretty epic, and Smith, who serves as showrunner on the series, can't wait to share what they have all been working on for the past year. Bear McCreary is the composer behind The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Outlander, and much more. There have always been Star Wars Twitter parody accounts. But not quite like these. While TR-8R , the baton-wielding Stormtrooper who faces off against Finn at Maz Kanata 's castle, has been enjoying some Internet notoriety with an ocean full of memes, it's really three Twitter accounts that have caught everyone off guard. They are hilarious. And offer an accurate view into the lives of Kylo Ren and the hermit exile Luke Skywalker as we've come to know them in Star Wars: The Force Awakens . Angelina Jolie Battles Michelle Pfeiffer in New ‘Maleficent 2’ Trailer
Angelina Jolie ’s Maleficent is back and this time she’s the mother of the bride. Disney has revealed a new trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil , which showcases the evil fairy attempting to disrupt the upcoming nuptials of Aurora ( Elle Fanning ) and Prince Philip. The clip also gives us a glimpse of Michelle Pfeiffer , who plays the queen of a neighboring kingdom (and Prince Philip’s mom). The pair appear to be at odds and ready to fight it out using any means necessarily. During a scene at a banquet in the castle, Pfeiffer’s stately Queen Ingrith tells Maleficent, “You have done an admirable job going against your own nature to raise this child. But now, she will finally get the love of a real mother. Tonight I consider Aurora my own.” The extended trailer also reveals that Maleficent isn’t alone in the world. Instead Monday, the President’s Day holiday, is exactly one month away from the announcement of Oscar nominations, and we still have just a little less than two and a half long months until the Oscars themselves take place on their latest date ever, Sunday April 25, 2021, colliding directly with Emmy season in a never ending whirlwind of zoom panels, virtual screenings, and occasional invites out to a drive-in to see Ammonite.
