On Sunday, The Young and the Restless will officially celebrate 50 years on CBS. For star Lauralee Bell , it’s more than just a celebration; it’s a tribute to the work of her dad William J. Bell , who created the No. 1 daytime drama with his wife, Lee, in 1973. It’s also a heady reminder that Bell — along with her brother Bradley, who’s the head writer on The Bold and the Beautiful — is one of daytime’s most important stewards. “We’re representing dad in such big way,” said Bell of her father, who died in 2005. "Mojo in the Morning" channel955.iheart.com Eminem 's ex-wife, Kim Mathers , was trying to kill herself when she rolled her car into a ditch last October in an alleged drunk driving accident. Kim called into the Detroit radio show "Mojo in the Morning" on channel 95.5 to come clean on the car accident. The case had been sealed, leading people to think she was getting preferential treatment from the court. Kim says the docs were sealed only because they had medical information related to her suicide attempt. She admits she specifically found a road where no one else would get hurt, ingested pills and alcohol before she "hit the gas and aimed for a pole." Her Cadillac Escalade flipped but Kim ultimately survived the wreck. Kim says she's currently getting help. We're told Lainie Kazan was driving in the Valley Saturday and drifted into an oncoming lane. We're told her Lincoln SUV struck another vehicle head-on. And, of all places, the accident happened right in front of The Great Greek restaurant. For real. Our on-scene sources tell us Lainie and the other driver were both conscious afterward -- but you can see in the pics Lainie's neck was immobilized in a neck brace. Lainie's current condition is unclear -- her rep wouldn't comment. Case in point: a 1990 episode of the animated Fox comedy depicted an angry mob of people protesting the planned exhibition of Michelangelo’s David in Springfield. “It’s fifth,” a woman tells Marge. “It graphically portrays parts of the human body, which practical as they may be, are evil.” Flash forward to this week, when a Florida charter school principal says she was forced to resign after some parents complained about their sixth grade students seeing a picture of David in class. It all unfolded at Tallahassee Classical, which bases its curriculum on the conservative and Christian Hillsdale College in Michigan. According to The Washington Post , the charter schools that rely on Hillsdale’s curriculum are supposed to teach Renaissance art to sixth graders, which includes the statue of David.
