The Nashville mass shooter was reportedly torn up over the death of a close friend months before unleashing a murderous attack at a Christian school. Audrey Hale was totally devastated after Sydney Shere Sims was killed in a car crash in August, former classmate Samira Hardcastle told NBC News. Hale "definitely admired" Sims as they together attended Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School of the Arts and the Nashville School of the Arts, Hardcastle said. Maria Colomy , one of Hale's former teachers at another school, recalled that Sims' untimely death was an emotional wrecking ball for her former student. Colomy paraphrased Hale's social media posts about the accident, stating something to the effect that Sims was "all that mattered" and "I'll miss you forever." The Mandalorian shot back onto Nielsen ’s U.S. streaming charts during the week of the Season 3 premiere. The Disney+ series tallied 823M viewing minutes from February 27 to March 5, coming in at No. 5 among streaming programs. According to Nielsen, the first episode from Season 3 generated 57% of that total, despite only being 42 minutes long. The Star Wars spinoff series is no stranger to the Nielsen streaming Top 10, having previously made history as both the first Disney+ show to make the list and the first non-Netflix show to hit No. 1 . The debut week for Season 2 saw over a billion viewing minutes across nine episodes, so while Season 3’s number is still impressive, it is a dip from the previous installment. Deadline has confirmed that Netflix film executives Lisa Nishimura and Ian Bricke are exiting the streamer amid a reorganization of the film group. All live-action film content now will be overseen by Kira Goldberg, Ori Marmur and Niija Kuykendall. We hear that Netflix will continue to make indie pics, and that this whole plan was part of streamlining and solidifying ops.
