EXCLUSIVE: Applause Entertainment is readying a sketch comedy show billed as ‘ Saturday Night Live meets The Kumars at No. 42 ,’ as the company turns five. Also on the slate is a travelog tracing the journey made by legendary prince Lord Ram and a documentary on the climate crisis in India, Deadline can reveal. An access doc on Hindi movie megastar Salman Khan is also nearing completion. Applause, led by Indian broadcasting veteran Sameer Nair , is best known for scripted drama series such as Scam 1992 and Taj – A Monument of Blood and adapting the likes of The Office , Luther , Guilt , Hostages and Criminal Justice in Hindi, but is now pushing heavily into unscripted and genres such as sketch comedy. A review of tonight’s Better Call Saul coming up just as soon as I choose White Heat without interruption over Jaws 3-D with commercials… “And when is it over for you?” -Mr. Varga Late in this week’s episode (“Breathe”), Jimmy calls Mike to arrange some kind of caper involving the expensive Hummel figurines he saw in Mr. Neff’s office during his job interview. This is a callback both to his eldercare work in Season One’s “Alpine Shepherd Boy” and to the idea of Jimmy and Mike as occasional partners, before Better Call Saul had so clearly become two largely separate shows operating under the same title. First ‘Jumanji’ Theme Park Opening At UK’s Chessington World Of Adventures Resort In 2023
EXCLUSIVE: The World of Jumanji theme land, the first ever connected to the $2.03 billion grossing Sony feature franchise, will open its gates in spring 2023 at the UK’s Chessington World of Adventures Resort in Chessington, UK. The theme land, a $20.5M development, is part of a global agreement between Columbia Pictures Location Based Entertainment and Merlin Entertainments and will be a world-first experience that encompasses the adventures from the Jumanji films. The entrance portal, which is shrouded in the ominous and overgrown Jumanji jungle that dominates the development, will serve as the starting point for guests. You’ll also be able to find the Jaguar Shrine structure from the movie at 55ft tall in the park. More details about the wild rides will be unveiled in the near future.
