The Conjuring 3 got an official title announcement by Warner Bros. at Brazil's Comic-Con today. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they'd ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return to star as Ed and Lorraine Warren, under the direction of Michael Chaves. The Conjuring 3 also stars Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It was produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, who have collaborated on all the Conjuring Universe films. Brian Jones, rhythm guitarist with the Rolling Stones from their inception in 1962 until his departure early last month, is dead. He was 25. Jones died shortly after being pulled, unconscious, out of the floodlight swimming pool at his home in Hartfield. Circumstances surrounding the latenight tragedy remain vague, despite testimony by three friends who were near the scene, despite a coroner’s inquest, and despite blatantly sensational coverage by the London press. Jones and his girl friend, 21-year-old Anna Wohlin, were hosting Frank Thorogood, a builder who had been doing repairs on Jones’ country home, and another friend, Jenny Lawson, a 22-year-old nurse. Shortly after midnight that night (June 2nd) he was found at the bottom of the pool. Artificial respiration attempts, first by Miss Wohlin, who is also a nurse, and later by ambulance attendants, failed, and Brian Jones was dead by the time a doctor arrived. First reports on the drowning of the musician left the cause … [Read more...] about Brian Jones: Sympathy for the Devil
Play video content Fabrice Morvan -- better known as one half of duo Milli Vanilli -- tells TMZ ... he's sort of a trailblazer ... because nowadays almost EVERYBODY in pop music lip-syncs their songs. Fab was leaving Le Pain Quotidien bakery in L.A. yesterday ... when we asked about his infamous phony vocals scandal in 1990 ... when it was revealed neither he nor Rob Pilatus actually sang any of the hits on their album, "Girl You Know It's True." Fab tells TMZ, "There is no difference between what I did back then and what people are doing now." He explains, "If you wanna break it down, people might say, 'Well you didn't sing' ... but the fact of the matter is ... now the machines are doing it." Fab says technology like Auto-Tune allows singers to completely change their voice ... duping fans into believing they can sing ... when, in fact, they can't. "I ain't pointing the finger, but if you're doing all this and you're not performing the song live ... then you're not doing … [Read more...] about Milli Vanilli — Who DOESN’T Lip-Sync These Days?
Everything you need to know about Jennifer Lopez hosting Saturday Night Live can be found in the monologue. It’s not included below, but that’s because it’s a statement of purpose rather than a comedic statement. There are maybe two jokes tops in the monologue, which eschews comedy in favor of “I’m awesome, you know I’m awesome, so let’s spend five minutes celebrating this awesome.” An exercise in ego stroking? Maybe! But it’s Jennifer Lopez, and if anyone’s earned the right to use the monologue segment to take a victory lap for her 2019, it’s her. This monologue sets the tone for the episode because it never pretends that Lopez isn’t one of the biggest stars in the world. Many hosts excel because they can blend in with the cast. Lopez is one of a handful of people that can successfully exist as the focal point for every single sketch and not feel like she’s trying to take the spotlight. Rather, SNL … [Read more...] about Jennifer Lopez on ‘SNL’: 3 Sketches You Have to See
Play video content TMZ.com Drake flatly denied getting "robbed" ... and technically he's right although he's clearly dodging the point. Drake showed up with Rihanna at The Nice Guy in WeHo Wednesday night, when our photog asked about the $3 million jewelry heist that went down earlier in the day. Two problems with the question ... he was not "robbed" since that requires force to get something and this was more like a burglary. Second, the victim is Drake's DJ, who owned the bling. Play video content TMZ.com Nevertheless, it was Drake's bus and he clearly had a dog in the fight judging by his reaction when he learned of the theft. … [Read more...] about Drake Denies Robbery
