Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul wrapped its six-season run on AMC Monday night. After the 63rd and final episode aired, star Bob Odenkirk took to Twitter to offer his thanks and an attempt at describing his state of mind in bidding farewell to the eponymous Saul Goodman and the show itself. “It’s a mystery to me how it even happened,” he said, in the emotional and heartfelt video (see it in full below). Odenkirk, who co-starred in Breaking Bad before diving into the origins of Saul Goodman in the spinoff, said late on Monday night, “Everybody’s been asking me how I feel about saying goodbye to Saul Goodman and Better Call Saul and I’m not good at answering the question because it’s frankly hard for me to look at that experience and even at that character too closely. It’s too many moving parts and they fit together too beautifully and it’s a mystery to me how it even happened.” He also thanked Gilligan and Gould, saying, “I did nothing to deserve this … [Read more...] about Bob Odenkirk On Bidding Adieu To ‘Better Call Saul’, Thanks Fans & Co-Workers In Emotional Video

Better Call Saul has ended. A review of the series finale, “Saul Gone,” coming up just as soon as I build a time machine… “Where do I see it ending? With me on top, like always.” —Saul James Morgan McGill and Walter White join forces one final time midway through “Saul Gone.” It is a flashback to the two of them hiding out in the vacuum store’s basement circa the “Granite State” episode of Breaking Bad , each of them waiting for Ed to secret them away to their new lives under assumed identities. Mostly, … [Read more...] about ‘Better Call Saul’ Series Finale Recap: Slippin’ Jimmy Vs. Saul Goodman
The success of President Joe Biden ’s climate bill, which he’s slated to sign Tuesday, will not be judged by polls, or by the price of gas at the pump, or by the ferocity of the next hurricane that hits the Gulf Coast. It will be measured in the clear air high above the Pacific Ocean at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. In 1958, when scientist Charles Keeling began measuring CO2 in the atmosphere at Mauna Loa, the level was 316 parts per million (250 years ago, before the industrial era, it was 280 ppm). Today, 63 years later, the CO2 level is 416 ppm, an increase of roughly a third over pre-industrial levels. It’s the accumulation of this molecule that’s trapping heat in the atmosphere, causing oceans to rise, forests to burn, and extreme heat waves to cook cities. By measuring CO2, Keeling began what amounts to a diary of our march toward climate chaos. What’s most remarkable about The Keeling Curve , as the chart of atmospheric CO2 levels is called, is it’s unbroken … [Read more...] about The Biden Climate Bill: Will It Save Us?
