Talk of a big screen Bioshock outing continues to this day, with The Boys star Jack Quaid recently offering his own pitch, and declaring that the story could be better adapted for a series rather than cinema. "I think they should make a TV show out of Bioshock," the actor said last year. "[A] movie's too small.....I mean, I literally have the skyhook over here, but Infinite's good. I think it's simpler and just more interesting with the very first one....And Minerva's Den in two is amazing, but yeah, they've got to do it someday." … [Read more...] about Bioshock Movie Once Had Roomies Eddie Redmayne & Jamie Dornan Competing for the Same Role

BioShock Movie on Indefinite Hold
"We got very close to having it get made - we had a deal in place and a director. But for us there's no burning [desire] to have a movie made just to get it made. For us and for Take-Two, it's really got to be something that will A) give the fans something that they want, and B) for those who don't know Bioshock, really introduce them to something that is consistent with the game, and is it going to be a good representation of the game. There are differences between games and movies, no doubt, but the movie has to draw from the same DNA in terms of the world and the story beats. But you know, we don't have a need to get it made." Back in August 2009, director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo signed on to direct Bioshock, although it doesn't seem he's attached at this point. Ken Levine is currently working on the latest installment in the Bioshock video game franchise, Bioshock Infinite, which will be released next year. … [Read more...] about BioShock Movie on Indefinite Hold

Then Watchmen came out, and it didn't do well for whatever reason. The studio then got cold feet about making an R rated $200 million film, and they said what if it was a $80 million film - and Gore didn't want to make a $80 million film. They brought another director in, and I didn't really see the match there - and 2K's one of these companies that puts a lot of creative trust in people. So they said if you want to kill it, kill it. And I killed it." Before working at Irrational Games, Ken Levine was a screenwriter in Hollywood. The writer-turned-executive talked about the strange dynamic of working on … [Read more...] about Bioshock Movie Called Off Due to Box Office Failure of Watchmen

On the other hand, Rakesh said, "It is ultimately a producer's choice on what to do with his movie. But we need more transparency. If we were told that this film would come out on OTT within 20 days of its release, then we would have agreed upon different terms to maximise our profits." … [Read more...] about Master: Theatre Owners Disappointed With Makers Of Vijay Starrer Over The Film’s OTT Release Date
