Anne Hathaway ( Eileen ) has signed on to star in a mysterious new film that David Robert Mitchell ( It Follows , Under the Silver Lake ) will direct for Warner Bros. Pictures , Bad Robot and Jackson Pictures. While the pic is billed as a “thrill-ride” to be shot in IMAX, which will head into production this fall, other details are scarce at present. Mitchell penned the original script and will produce alongside J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella for Bad Robot , and Jackson Pictures’ Matt Jackson. Jake Weiner and Chris Bender of Good Fear Content will serve as exec producers. Icelandic Political Drama ‘ The Minister ’ Greenlit For Season Two Icelandic political drama The Minister has been greenlit for a second season and acquired by Viaplay in the UK and Germany. The show, which is commissioned by Iceland’s RUV and four Nordic networks, stars Ólafur Darri Ólafsson ( Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald ) as Benedikt Ríkharðsson, the Icelandic Prime Minister whose medical condition threatens the stability of the government and the private lives of the team around him. After the dramatic finale of Season 1, in which he publicly reveals his bipolar disorder to the entire nation, Benedikt is back and this time he wants to change the country’s approach to mental health. Sandberg & Lotta Losten will produce via their newly formed Mångata production banner, alongside Good Fear Content’s Chris Bender & Jake Weiner, with Scott Stoops exec producing. A troubled priest confines himself to a remote cabin in the middle of the woods where he attempts to make a last stand against the demon that terrorized his family when he was a child. EXCLUSIVE: A24 is reuniting with its Green Knight director David Lowery on his next film Mother Mary and set Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel to star. Lowery is directing from a script he penned. The film will be an epic pop melodrama following a fictional musician (Hathaway) and her relationship with an iconic fashion designer (Coel). Lowery, Toby Halbrooks, and James M. Johnston will produce alongside Jeanie Igoe of Homebird Productions and Jonas Katzenstein, Maximilian Leo and Jonathan Saubach of Cologne-based augenschein Filmproduktion. Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX will write and produce original songs for the film, with an original score composed by Daniel Hart. Pinzon will play Ethan, a former friend of Davia’s (Emma Hunton) from her days in New York who is in L.A. workshopping a musical he wrote. Terry will play Brayden, an actor and one of the musical’s three stars. Their first appearance will be in Episode 3, which airs March 30.
