He was 55. Mitchell was the twin brother of Gregg Mitchell, the WGA West’s events manager. Rob Mitchell worked in the entertainment industry for over three decades, encompassing finance, production, distribution, operations, development and strategic planning. Over the course of his career, he was involved in the production, finance and distribution of 40 films, which reportedly grossed $2.3 billion in worldwide box office. Axios To Sell To Cox Enterprises In Deal Valued At $525 Million
Axios , the digital media startup covering politics, technology and media, has agreed to be purchased by Cox Enterprises , the communications, automotive and media company. The value of the deal for Axios Media was $525 million, according to a source familiar with the transaction and other reports. Cox Enterprises bought a stake in Axios last year. Alex Taylor, Cox Enterprises chairman and CEO, said that “bringing a forward-thinking organization like Axios into Cox Enterprises is exciting for us on many levels, and we look forward to helping them continue to scale and grow.” Axios co-founders Jim VandeHei , Mike Allen and Roy Schwartz will continue to have stakes in the company, and will still lead editorial and day-to-day business decisions. ‘Street Outlaws’ Star Ryan Fellows Killed in Crash During Show Filming
Youtube/Discovery "Street Outlaws: Fastest in America" star Ryan Fellows was killed in a car accident during filming for the popular Discovery show, TMZ has learned. A source connected to the show tells us the crash happened just outside Las Vegas early Sunday morning. Ryan was racing another driver in what was the 8th out of 9 races scheduled for the night for the show. We're told Fellows was driving a gold Nissan 240z, and somehow lost control near the finish line, Ryan's vehicle rolled and caught fire ... onlookers were unable to get him out on time.
