Tina Peters , a pro-Trump conspiracy theorist who has been charged with breaching voting machines, lost her bid to become the secretary of state of Colorado. She’s not so sure, though. Despite finishing third in the race for the Republican nomination to take control of the state’s election systems, Peters refused to concede on Tuesday night, accusing election officials of “cheating” and saying the race is “not over,” according to the Associated Press . Peters finished nearly 15 points behind local election official Pam Anderson. She also finished behind fellow 2020 election denier Mike O’Donnell. The Jan. 6 committee warned of potential witness tampering by Trump loyalists at the close of Tuesday’s hearing. According to Punchbowl News, one of the examples of witness intimidation provided by the committee was sent to former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson . At the close of Hutchinson’s bombshell testimony Tuesday afternoon, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) revealed that the committee was aware of multiple instances in which witnesses testifying before the committee have been pressured by President Trump’s allies in attempts to manipulate their testimony. Cheney read a statement from a witness who said they would “stay in good graces in Trump World”  if they continued to be a “team player.” The witness was also told to keep in mind that Trump does read transcripts while giving their deposition. Messages from close friends and industry folks alike flooded Oliver Tree ’s phone after the Kid Laroi released the cinematically eccentric video for “ Thousand Miles ” in late April. Friends and colleagues wanted to know if Tree had helped direct the video, as snippets from it seemed to mirror his own work. The 28-year-old took a closer look and realized that some scenes were nearly identical to visuals he came up with for his own music. So, on April 28, Tree posted a TikTok showing side-by-side clips of his 2021 video for “Asshole” and Laroi’s recent work, accusing the visual’s director of cribbing. The visual similarities are hard to ignore: In each video, Laroi and Tree stick their heads out of a vehicle while driving, get hit by identical ambulances, and lie flattened on the ground — in exactly the same position — as a camera zooms in from above. “They steal that many shots and thought I wouldn’t notice?” Tree captioned the post.
