Missing Link. And coming up in September: Abominable.Abominable promises to be different in a few ways, as we were shown when invited to an edit bay visit to preview some scenes. The film follows a teenager as she discovers a yeti hiding out on the roof of her building. The girl, Yi, and two of her friends, guide the yeti (who they name Everest) back home to Mt. Everest. Along the way, the trio discovers the yeti has magical powers, which turn out to be helpful as they must also dodge a wealthy man hellbent on capturing a real, live yeti.Yi, the film’s lead, is female – something that was missing from previous yeti animations. x Though these last few months have seen a ceaseless stream of rumors and reports alleging that a Star Wars: Episode IX teaser or title reveal is imminent, Lucasfilm has continued to hold off on such grand unveilings. That being said, with filming on the upcoming trilogy-closer wrapping last Friday, several official Star Wars Twitter accounts have offered what could finally be a genuine tease that something big is just around the corner. THE Strictly curse could be about to strike again, two months after Stacey Dooley lifted the glitterball trophy. The documentary maker has told pals that her relationship with boyfriend Sam Tucknott is under strain after spending almost a month on the show’s tour and dancing with telly pro Kevin Clifton. She has been dating Sam, a personal trainer, for seven years but they have struggled to spend time together because of her recent commitments. A tour insider said: “Stacey has been telling anyone who will listen backstage that this tour is putting pressure on her relationship. “She has already blamed the six months she spent on Strictly for putting a massive strain on her love life but now, being away from home has made things even more difficult. “Sam has been supportive of her doing the show but has missed spending so much time with her. “She and Sam used to train together most days, but now she is always dancing. Chichester Cinema at New Park, regarded as a gem by film lovers far and wide, will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Now selling more than 72,000 tickets a year, the cinema was the vision of one man, Roger Gibson, an art teacher who set up at film course at Chichester College, Art of the Film, which in turns spawned a film club, with Woody Allen’s Love and Death the first film it showed on September 20 1979. The film society moved New Park Centre in 1986, eventually becoming Chichester Cinema at New Park. The cinema now shows more 300 films a year at 1,500 screenings and showcases the Chichester International Film Festival, now in its 28th year, the largest on the south coast and one of the top ten in the UK.
