‘Ghosts’ Star Danielle Pinnock Signs With ICM Partners
EXCLUSIVE: Danielle Pinnock , the breakout star of CBS hit comedy Ghosts , has signed with ICM Partners for representation. On Ghosts , Pinnock plays Alberta, a Prohibition-era lounge singer turned ghost who is trapped in a modern-day country estate recently inherited by two unexpecting new tenants. The hit comedy series recently wrapped its first season and has been renewed for a second season on CBS. Pinnock also co-created with Punam Patel ( I Love That For You ), the adult animated series Unmentionables , which is being developed for television by Emmy-winning producer Anthony Hemingway and Oscar nominee Taraji P. ‘Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James To Host ABC Game Show ‘The Final Straw’ With Peyton Manning As EP
Janelle James , one of the stars of ABC ’s breakout comedy hit Abbott Elementary, is doubling down with the Disney-owned network. She is hosting game show The Final Straw , which has seen NFL legend Peyton Manning join as one of the exec producers. The network announced last month that the Jenga-esque format will air alongside the likes of Celebrity Family Feud and The $100,000 Pyramid starting on July 10. It sees four teams of contestants face off to combat tremendous tipping towers. Each life-sized themed tower is chock full of various objects ranging from basketballs to small kitchen appliances as contestants try to successfully pull items from the stack without tipping it over in order to earn prizes. SiriusXM Buys Team Coco; Conan O’Brien To Remain Host Of Flagship Podcast, Launch New Comedy Channel In Multi-Year Deal
SiriusXM has acquired Team Coco , Conan O’Brien’s podcast network and digital media business, including his popular podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend . Team Coco’s staff will continue to produce the network’s slate of podcasts and collaborate on new content for SiriusXM. The deal includes a five-year talent agreement for O’Brien to remain host of his namesake podcast, which will continue to be available widely. He’ll also collaborate with SiriusXM to create and exec produce a new full-time, original Team Coco comedy channel for SiriusXM subscribers. The agreement also includes distribution of select video from Conan’s podcast as well as from the archives of his long-running late-night show on TBS, live events and merchandise from the Team Coco brands. EXCLUSIVE : One of the longest-tenured ABC/ ABC Signature executives, Stephanie Leifer , is leaving her post as EVP Current Programming for ABC Signature after combined 28 years at the studio and ABC. I hear this is an executive move made by ABC Signature President Jonnie Davis. Leifer, who is very well liked in the creative community, has served as head of current programming at ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios, and predecessor ABC Studios since 2010, overseeing all current series.
