Paul McCartney has penned seven or eight new songs for an upcoming animated feature he’s producing titled High in the Clouds, based on the children’s book McCartney co-authored in 2005. News of McCartney’s new music comes in a Deadline story about a troubled production company called RGH Entertainment that’s been tasked with creating a “sizzle reel” for High in the Clouds, which will also feature McCartney providing the voice for one of the film’s characters. According to Deadline, one of the songs featured in High in the Clouds is a collaboration between McCartney and Lady Gaga. In February, Gaga hinted that she was working in the studio with McCartney on an unspecified project, Billboard reported. “Had a beautiful session with Sir Paul McCartney and friends. Working on one of his many secret projects! Killer musicians, vibe, and lots of laughs,” Gaga wrote on Instagram. “Always a good time with my buddy. … [Read more...] about Paul McCartney Pens ‘Seven or Eight’ New Songs for Animated Film

The singer served as the guest host of Monday's episode of 'The Late Late Show' and put her spin on one of James Corden's annual segments. Alicia Keys broke down 2019 when she served as the guest host of The Late Late Show on Monday. The singer played the piano as she recapped the past year. While James Corden usually performs the segment by speaking quickly, Keys opted to do a more low-key version and spoke slowly as she played the piano. She also asked the audience to sing with her at the end of each verse. Keys began the segment by mentioning that "Fleabag's priest couldn't get much hotter," while she also highlighted Beyonce's concert film Homecoming and the Starbucks cup that made an appearance on Game of Thrones. "Aunt Becky paid off a ton of schools. We got Apple TV and Disney+. John Legend was named the sexiest," she continued. "Greta Thunberg gave a climate talk. NASA had an all-female spacewalk. 2019 showed us women are strong cause hot girl summer lasts all year long." Martha Wash: The Most Famous Unknown Singer of the ’90s Speaks Out
Martha Wash was sitting in a Los Angeles hotel room, furious and confused. It was late 1990 and the singer, relaxing before a show that night, had decided to unwind with some channel surfing. She stumbled upon a new music video by Italian house group Black Box, whose synth lines, horn stabs and pulsating, club-tailored drum patterns had already made them dance music stars. When the song’s vocals kicked in, she was shocked to see French model Katrin Quinol, the ex-girlfriend of founding member Daniele Davoli, bending over and crouching in a unitard, lip-syncing Wash’s vocals to the eventual hit “Everybody Everybody.” “I said to myself, ‘I don’t believe this shit is happening again,” says the now 60-year-old Wash. “I called my manager and said, ‘I just heard myself on TV in a video.'” “Again” is the operative word, as just a few months prior, Wash heard her ostensible … [Read more...] about Martha Wash: The Most Famous Unknown Singer of the ’90s Speaks Out
