EXCLUSIVE : Andrew Dice Clay ( Pam & Tommy ) and Jordan Johnson-Hinds ( The Endgame ) will star in the Quiver-acquired basketball drama Warrior Strong from director Shane Belcourt ( Red Rover ), which has entered production in Northern Ontario, Canada. The film written by Dan Gordon ( Wyatt Earp ) centers on basketball protege and egocentric Bilal Irving (Johnson-Hinds), who is asked to be the assistant coach of his former high school team, the Dumont Warriors, alongside Coach Avery Schmidt (Clay). Bilal subsequently learns that true coaching involves far more than simply teaching the game. The question is, will this rag-tag team of misfits have what it takes to put aside their differences and become Warrior Strong? ‘Fate Of A Sport’: ESPN Films Sets Streaming & Broadcast Dates For Lacrosse Documentary
EXCLUSIVE: The Michael Doneger directed documentary Fate of a Sport, which ESPN acquired ahead of the pic’s Tribeca Film Festival world premiere, will drop on ESPN+ on Aug. 29. The docu chronicles the story of lacrosse legend Paul Rabil and his fight to change the trajectory of the sport he loves by launching a new professional league, the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). After 11 years as one of the most decorated players within a professional lacrosse league that was anything but professional, Rabil decides to create his own league of the sport that made him a star. In partnership with his brother Mike, Paul raises capital, poaches the top players, fights off lawsuits, and navigates through a global pandemic to establish the PLL as the premiere destination for professional lacrosse in the country. Bills’ QB Case Keenum Pulls Prank On Teammates For Autographs At Camp
Buffalo Bills It's Case Keenum 's 10th training camp, and if there's one thing the veteran quarterback has learned ... it's the value of a good prank during the dog days of camp! The Bills' backup QB decided to have a little fun at the expense of his teammates as they prepare for the start of the season, dressing up as a fan, and bugging players for autographs. "I'm going to see today how many autographs I can get from my teammates," Keenum said in a video posted to the Bills social media page. 34-year-old Keenum looked the part ... he rocked a Bills shirt, sunglasses and a tan bucket hat. Case was able to snag a few autographs ... and his undercover person was so good, he nearly got wideout Isaiah McKenzie twice.
