Within the first two weeks of January 2022 alone, NielsenIQ reported that low- and no-alcohol sales generated $106 million, with non-alcohol-specific sales bringing in $13.6 million. Additionally, as originally reported by the IWSR , the category overall has grown from $7.8 billion in 2018 to $10 billion in 2021 across various markets globally, such as the U.S., Canada and Japan. From Start to ‘Finnish’: Miles Teller Talks New Role As Investor in Finnish Long Drink
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission. Miles Teller may be taking to the skies in this summer’s Top Gun: Maverick , but the actor is taking on a bear (no, really) in a new campaign for The Finnish Long Drink, a traditional Finnish alcoholic beverage that’s making its way to North America. The new campaign finds Teller in the middle of Finland, where he encounters a menacing-looking bear. Turns out, the bear isn’t angry, just thirsty , and in predictable fashion, it’s The Finnish Long Drink that brings brute and beast together. Teller is actually an investor in The Finnish Long Drink, which is a category of alcoholic beverage native to Finland that combines a sparkling citrus drink with real liquor (typically gin). Often known unofficially as Finland’s national drink, Teller says he first discovered the effervescent drink (think a tastier White Claw with a similar 5% … [Read more...] about From Start to ‘Finnish’: Miles Teller Talks New Role As Investor in Finnish Long Drink
RS Recommends: The Best Canned Cocktails to Sip On-the-Go This Season
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission. We all had our hot hard seltzer summer moment last year, and that was admittedly a great time to be a refreshing drink-in-a-can. While hard seltzer has cemented its place in our backyard coolers for now, we like to think of that trend as more a stepping stone to recognizing that you don’t have to sacrifice well-crafted flavors for portability. The best canned cocktails, or ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, have really stepped up their game in the past few years, offering surprisingly upscale spirits, and in some case replicating the taste of a freshly mixed drink to a T, all in an easy-to-carry package. There are more diverse offerings than ever, from margs and ranch waters, to even whiskey cocktails and gin-based bevvies. Whatever your libation, we guarantee that there’s a canned cocktail out there for you. You may think that … [Read more...] about RS Recommends: The Best Canned Cocktails to Sip On-the-Go This Season

Jerry Lee Lewis, Keith Whitley Lead Country Music Hall of Fame’s 2022 Inductees
The Country Music Hall of Fame has announced a new group of inductees for 2022. Rock & roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis will be inducted in the Veteran category, neotraditionalist Keith Whitley will join the Hall in the Modern category, and former RCA Records executive will become a member in the Nonperforming category. Brooks & Dunn handled the announcements in the Hall of Fame’s rotunda, marking the first time in two years that they’d been able to gather in person for the new Hall of Fame class. It was also an occasion that was still heavy with the recent death of 2021 Hall of Fame inductee Naomi Judd for her work in the Judds. Louisiana native Jerry Lee Lewis initially made his impact in rockabilly and rock & roll, cutting the iconic Fifties singles like “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” for Sun Records in Memphis and wowing audiences with his boogie-woogie piano and flamboyant, high-octane performances. In the Sixties, he shifted to country … [Read more...] about Jerry Lee Lewis, Keith Whitley Lead Country Music Hall of Fame’s 2022 Inductees
