In October 2017, Candi Staton was at a Nashville recording studio, working on a new song called “The Prize Is Not Worth the Pain.” As her band stretched out the disco-funk tune into an extended jam, the singer began improvising phrases and one-liners. Sacks, who died in 2015 at 82, was a humanist, a passionate explorer of the human consciousness and arguably the most famous doctor of modern times. Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard To Host NBC Gameshow ‘Family Game Fight’, Based On Ellen Skits
Married couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are taking their amped up family game nights to a new level. NBC has ordered Family Game Fight , which will see the actors both host and compete in the ten-part series. The series, which will test brains, brawn and family bonds over the course of an hour, will see Bell and Shepard be adopted into a family of four as they compete in a series of games with a big cash prize up for grabs. It marks the first gameshow for the pair, who are better known for on screen roles such as Bell’s performance in The Good Place and Veronica Mars and Shepard’s The Ranch and Bless This Mess. Cynthia Erivo Is the Blue Fairy in Disney’s Pinocchio Live-Action Remake
The Pinocchio reboot has found its Blue Fairy in Harriet star Cynthia Erivo . TheWrap reported on Wednesday that Erivo had landed the role along with a few other casting announcements. Those joining Erivo for the project include Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the voice of Jiminy Cricket, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the voice of Pinocchio, Keegan-Michael Key as the voice of Honest John, and Lorraine Bracco as the voice of new character Sofia the Seagull. Other names have previously been announced as a part of the new Pinocchio reboot cast. Tom Hanks will play the live-action Geppetto while Beauty and the Beast remake star Luke Evans has been cast as the Coachman . Oakes Fegley has also reportedly been in talks to play Lampwick.
