Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker, the married couple behind Low , have canceled a slate of upcoming concerts to focus on Parker’s battle with ovarian cancer. The duo was scheduled to appear in Wales, Scandinavia, England, and Scotland later this month. “As some of you know, Mimi has been fighting cancer,” Low shared in a band statement. “Recent developments and changes in treatment have made extensive travel impossible at this time. Our hope is that she will respond to new treatments and be able to play the shows we have scheduled for the fall.” Earlier this year, during an appearance on the SHEROES Radio Podcast, Parker revealed she’d been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December of 2020. Lizzo is a runaway bride in her new video for “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready).” On Monday, the singer released the visual to accompany her latest single from her Special album, released earlier this summer. The video opens with Lizzo walking down the aisle, recreating the scene from her “Truth Hurts” visual before she second-guesses the idea of marrying herself. The singer then ditches the ceremony altogether, to the surprise of the attendees. “Am I ready? The Imagen Awards on Monday unveiled the full list of nominees for its 37th annual gala honoring Latino storytelling, performances, writing and creative expression in television and film. This year’s awards show is set for October 2 in Los Angeles at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes. Walt Disney Studios’ West Side Story was among the most nominated alongside Disney’s animated movie Encanto .
