Prince Harry has said he trimmed down his tell-all memoir Spare and chose not to publish certain details as he knew his family would never forgive him if they were made public. In a new interview, the Duke of Sussex told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph that the original initial transcript for Spare was twice the length of the final draft, and he had enough material to complete two books on his life and family. “The first draft was different,” he told the newspaper. “It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was booted off the House Foreign Affairs Committee, in a move that Democrats see as payback but Republicans say was over past controversial comments. The House voted along party lines 218-211 to remove Omar from the committee. Omar said that the move to oust her was an attack on Muslim Americans, citing the birther movement against Barack Obama, fueled in part by Donald Trump. “I am a Muslim. I am an immigrant. And interestingly from Africa,” she said. She added, “I am an American. An American who was sent here by her constituents to represent them in Congress .” Omar sparked a furor and criticism from fellow Democrats in 2019 when she tweeted, in reference to Jewish organizations advocating for support of Israel, “It’s all about the Benjamins, baby.” The Democratic leadership condemned the remarks, and she later apologized. Dawn Ostroff is departing Spotify as the company’s head of content and advertising amid cutbacks affecting 6% of the company’s workforce. Against a backdrop of austerity in the once-invincible tech sector, Spotify said it is shedding hundreds of jobs.
