Cliff Curtis ( Avatar films, Fear The Walking Dead ) is set for a key recurring role in Chief of War , Apple TV+’s upcoming series starring, written and executive produced by Jason Momoa . The Northern Ireland-born actor was part of the prequel Star Wars trilogy where he played Qui-Gon Jinn starting with Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace . CNN and PBS took home two prizes apiece, headlining Monday’s duPont-Columbia Awards handed out by Columbia Journalism School. Founded in 1942, the awards aim to uphold journalism standards, inform the public about accomplishments by video and audio journalists, and support journalism education and innovation. Mark Hamill wants to help the Ukrainian army maintain its drone supply. So Mr. Luke Skywalker is going to start selling signed posters to raise cash. “We decided to sign Star Wars posters , a limited amount,” said Hamill, speaking to Politico. “For real hardcore collectors — especially those that have disposable income — you can get way more money … than you would imagine.” Details on where the posters will be on sale isn’t finalized. Hamill envisions an auction where competition will drive up the price. The poster sale is expected to start next week. UPDATED with content spend stats from annual report: Giant Amazon said its total expenses for video and music came to $16.6 billion last year, up from $13 billion in 2021. Video and music expense includes licensing and production costs associated with content offered within Amazon Prime memberships, and costs associated with digital subscriptions and sold or rented content, according to the company’s latest annual report that followed fourth quarter financials yesterday. On an earnings call Thursday, CFO Brian Olsavsky noted that Amazon spent $7 billion on originals, live sports and licensed content in 2022, up from $5 billion the year before.
