EXCLUSIVE : Diana Lin and Archie Kao have been cast in series-regular roles on Interior Chinatown , a new series in the works for Hulu from 20th Television and creator/executive producer Charles Yu, who wrote the 2020 bestseller. RELATED: 2022-23 Hulu Pilots & Series Orders Tzi Ma also will recur in the drama that tells the story of Willis Wu ( Jimmy O. Yang ), a background character trapped in a police procedural who is trying to find his way into the larger story — and along the way discovers secrets about the strange world he inhabits and his family’s buried history. Along with Wang, they join previously announced cast Chloe Bennet and Ronny Chieng, as well as Sullivan Jones and Lisa Gilroy. The CW has set spring premiere dates for the final seasons of its Archieverse drama Riverdale and YA sleuth series Nancy Drew . Fronted by KJ Apa , Lili Reinhart , Camila Mendes and Cole Sprouse , Riverdale ‘s swan-song Season 7 will bow at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, following a new episode of The Flash. The Kennedy McMann -led Nancy Drew begins its fourth and last season at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31. The network also today said that both series will wrap their runs on the same night, with the finales airing back-to-back Wednesday, August 23. Riverdale returns with a time warp. Picking up where last season ended, Jughead Jones (Sprouse) finds himself trapped in the 1950s. He has no idea how he got there, nor how to get back to the present. Actress Annie Wersching, best known for her roles in the television shows 24, Bosch and Timeless , died of cancer early this morning. She was 45. Wersching continued to shoot even after her 2020 diagnosis, with prominent roles in Star Trek: Picard as the Borg queen in Season 2, and The Rookie. She also voiced Tess in the popular The Last Of Us video game, which was adapted into a TV series by HBO . Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, issued a statement. “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures Television is putting the limited series Jackpot into early development, inspired by the hardscrabble life of Philly high-stakes gambler-turned-FBI confidential source RJ Cipriani (aka Robin Hood 702), the lynchpin in taking down a multimillion-dollar drug ring. Nicholas Stoller and his Stoller Global Solutions partner Conor Welch, as well as Jamie Canniffe, are executive producing with Cipriani. A gambler known for giving his winnings to the less fortunate, Cipriani’s chance encounter with an ex-girlfriend plunged him unwittingly into a money-laundering scheme that ultimately led to one of the biggest cases in FBI history leading to over 1,000 arrests around the world.
