Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rachel Morrison ’s feature directorial debut Flint Strong has moved from Universal to MGM , with Brian Tyree Henry ( Atlanta ) coming aboard to star, Deadline can confirm. Henry joins an ensemble that also includes Ryan Destiny and Oluniké Adeliyi, as previously announced. The film will continue shooting next week in Toronto following a prolonged shutdown precipitated by the Covid pandemic. Henry takes over the role initially to have been played by Ice Cube, who worked on the project for just two days back in March of 2020, before production was indefinitely delayed. Flint Strong is a boxing drama based on Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper’s 2015 documentary, T-Rex . It will tell the true story of Claressa “T-REX” Shields (Destiny), a 17-year-old Flint, Michigan native whose dreams of becoming the first woman in history to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing came to fruition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Lee Lawson , best known for her long-running role as Bea Reardon on soap opera The Guiding Light , died on May 22 at the age of 80. Lawson played Reardon on the CBS soap from 1981 to 1990. The show ended in 2009. Her daughter, Leslie Bova, shared the news in a Facebook post that revealed her mother had cancer and COVID-19 before her death. “Rest, you brilliant woman ❤️,” Bova wrote Tuesday. “Thank you, mom. R.I.P.” Lawson was born Oct. 14, 1941, in New York City, and made her debut on the CBS soap Love of Life in 1965. Jamie has said he would sit for a depo, but only in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart , says in legal docs, he'll gladly fly to Kentwood to put Jamie under oath. Rosengart says in new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, that Jamie has been skirting the depo for more than 5 months, and he thinks for good reason. Rosengart claims he can prove Jamie was running "a corrupted and conflicted conservatorship that stripped his daughter of certain fundamental liberties," adding Jamie enriched himself to the tune of at least $6.3 million and paid various people involved in the conservatorship tens of millions of dollars more.
