NBCUniversal Teams With Charter In Major Expansion Of Addressable Ad Footprint
NBCUniversal is expanding the number of households reachable with addressable advertising — a newer form of brand messages based on metrics beyond traditional demos — by 40% through a new deal with Charter Communications . The media company will now be able to serve addressable ads to 45 million households, which it says makes it one of the largest potential customer pools reachable through a TV ad system. The Spectrum -branded pay-TV and broadband platforms operated by Charter, the no. 2 cable provider in the U.S., will be accessible by NBCU for selling addressable campaigns on their own inventory. The deal will begin with Spectrum VOD platforms during the current quarter of 2021. The Art Directors Guild has unveiled nominations for its 25th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, which celebrate the year’s best achievements in theatrical motion pictures, TV, commercials, music videos and animated features. Winners will be announced April 10 during a virtual ceremony. Last year, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Avengers: Endgame and Parasite were the big film winners in the Period, Fantasy and Contemporary categories, respectively, with Hollywood going on to take the Production Design Oscar. TV winners included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Cherrnobyl, The Big Bang Theory, Russian Doll, The Umbrella Academy and Drunk History . Workaholics Movie Is Happening at Paramount+ with the Original Cast
Workaholics will return with an all-new movie on Paramount+. On Thursday, several major announcements were made about the new streaming service's upcoming content which includes revivals and reboots of several fan favorite TV shows from years past. The news also brought along the reveal that the streamer will exclusively host a new Workaholics movie with returning cast members Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck. Running on Comedy Central for seven seasons, Workaholics was on the air from 2011 to 2017. Its cast is also behind most of the writing and creative direction of the series. The show follows a group of college dropouts and roommates who all work together at a telemarketing company in California. They often clash with co-workers and each other as they've never quite grown out of partying, drinking, smoking pot, and pulling pranks.
