Netflix has set a March 23 premiere date for action thriller The Night Agent and released a slew of first-look images. See them below and watch a teaser above. Created and showrun by Shawn Ryan ( S.W.A.T., The Shield , the 10-episode drama stars Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning an emergency hotline for American spies that never rings. Then a call comes in from a terrified civilian, Rose Larkin ( Luciane Buchanan ). Peter must protect Rose and work with her to uncover a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office and threatens the country. Paramount and Prime Video have struck a Star Trek deal for the former’s international streamer outside Canada. Previous seasons of Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Lower Decks will feature on the streamer later this month, while the third and final season of Picard will premiere day and date with the U.S. in Latin America on February 16 and in the UK, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland on February 17. South Korea will premiere at a later date. In addition to airing on Paramount+ , Picard will also stream on Prime Video outside of the U.S. and Canada, while in Canada it is available on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave. There will be no second season for Hollywood-centric comedy series Reboot , created and executive produced by Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan . Following the recent cancellation of the series, starring Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville and Judy Greer, Levitan and producing studio 20th Television tried to find another home. There are finished scripts, produced by a writers room that had worked on a potential second season, which were sent to potential buyers. Those efforts have now been exhausted, and Reboot if officially over. Levitan alluded to that in a Twitter post Monday. “Well, that seems to be a wrap on Reboot, ” he wrote. “Very proud of our amazing cast and crew and what we did together.” He proceeded to take a subtle jab at Hulu’s treatment of the series by saying, “Haven’t seen it? The newest actors to sign on are BAFTA winners Andrew Scott (C atherine Called Birdy ) and Jamie Demetriou ( Cruella ), McKenna Roberts ( Euphoria ) and Rylan Jackson ( Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves ). The ill-fated Russell Westbrook era has ended for the Los Angeles Lakers . They’ve traded him to the Utah Jazz in a three-team deal, getting guard and former Laker D’Angelo Russell back from Minnesota. Utah is sending guard Mike Conley to the Timberwolves. The Lakers will also get Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt from Utah. Minnesota also will receive Nickeil Alexander-Walker and picks, and the Jazz will get Juan Toscano-Anderson and a coveted first-round draft pick from the Lakers. Westbrook may get a buyout from Utah in an effort to join a contending team. Westbook was acquired from the Washington Wizards in 2021 in hopes of creating a “Big Three” with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They never jelled, and the Lakers missed the playoffs last season. EXCLUSIVE : Patricia Cornwell ’s Kay Scarpetta books have completed their long journey to the screen with a blockbuster TV series starring Oscar winner Nicole Kidman in the title role and Oscar nominee Jamie Lee Curtis as the famous forensic pathologist’s sister Dorothy, I have learned. Kidman is executive producing through Blossom Films and Curtis through Comet Pictures the drama, from writer-showrunner Liz Sarnoff ( Barry ) and Blumhouse Television, which I hear is nearing a two-season straight-to-series order at Prime Video.
