EXCLUSIVE: Alex Boniello ( Jessica Jones ) has been cast as Jack of Diamonds in the Disney+ original movie Descendants: The Rise of Red (formerly known as The Pocketwatch ) , the latest installment in Disney Branded Television’s Descendants franchise. The Jack of Diamonds is a captain in the Queen of Hearts’ Red Army, whose soldiers wear military uniforms in the style of playing cards. Amazon has set the creative team for its Butch & Sundance series. The adaptation, which has Regé-Jean Page and Glen Powell in talks to star, will see Alex Metcalf serve as showrunner with Kaz Firpo and Ryan Firpo serving as co-showrunners. The project, which landed a series order last year, was created by the Firpo cousins, who wrote Marvel’s Eternals . Metcalf was previously showrunner of Showtime’s The Loudest Voice and has written on shows such as Sharp Objects and UnReal . MindGeek , the parent of Pornhub , the world’s biggest porn site, and other adult entertainment platforms was acquired by a Canadian private equity firm called Ethical Capital Partners, or ECP, for an undisclosed amount. ECP launched in 2022 in Montreal. Its website says it’s good at dealing with problem companies, seeking out tech-focused investment and advisory opportunities “in industries that require principled ethical leadership…have legal and regulatory complexity and that put a value on transparency and accountability.” Pornhub, founded in 2007, changed the world of adult entertainment. It has over 76 million monthly active registered members and over 130 million adults visit the site daily for “the best selection of award-winning performers, the most extensive collection of high-quality videos, and a safe, user-friendly experience for viewers,” the deal announcement says. Lance Reddick , a prolific actor who played Charon in all four John Wick films and was a series regular on The Wire , Fringe and Bosch among dozens of other roles spanning a quarter-century, died today. He was 60. His rep at Portrait PR confirmed the news, saying he died of natural causes but not providing other details. The actor had been doing interviews for the upcoming John Wick: Chapter Four starring Keanu Reeves just this week. He also was set to appear in the franchise-spinoff pic Ballerina. Reddick began his screen career in the mid-1990s, guesting on such series as The Nanny and New York Undercover. Later in the decade, he appeared on the big screen in pics including Great Expectations and The Siege before recurring on HBO’s Emmy-winning 2000 miniseries The Corner , which was based on David Simon’s book. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell will soon be back to work at Good Burger . Nickelodeon Studios and Paramount+ have officially confirmed the greenlight of Good Burger 2 , an original movie sequel to the iconic feature film, based on the recurring sketch from comedy series All That . Thompson and Mitchell are set to reprise their classic roles as Dexter and Ed, respectively. The movie will follow Dexter Reed (Thompson) and original cashier, Ed (Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees.
