Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks will host the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards in May, producers announced today. The awards ceremony will stream live on Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT exclusively for a global audience across 240+ territories on Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. A full rebroadcast of the ceremony and performances will stream next day for free on Amazon Freevee. A Disney spokesperson has confirmed to Deadline that Ike Perlmutter is out at the company. Note, Permutter oversaw the consumer products division of Marvel, and isn’t part of the Kevin Feige-led Marvel Studios. Perlmutter’s departure comes amid Disney cutting 7K jobs in a massive overhaul of its employee corps that’s part of $5.5 billion cost-cutting manuever to position the Mouse House even more for the streaming obsessed entertainment era. Permutter’s Marvel Entertainment will be folded into other parts of the Disney corporate umbrella. Perlmutter’s oversight included comic book publishing (which reportedly earns $40M-$60M annually), as well as game licensing and arena shows. Wild Bunch International, which bid farewell to its legendary company moniker at a bash in Paris in January, has announced its new name. Taking inspiration from Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated 1990 hit, the international sales company has been renamed as Goodfellas . The dropping of the original name marks the final act in the company’s departure from the pan-European Wild Bunch AG film group that began in 2019. “The international sales company will now be called Goodfellas. There are no other changes to the structure created in 2019,” the company said in a short statement. It has yet to release a logo for the new banner. Actor Jeremy Renner will sit down with Diane Sawyer for an hour-long special in his first televised interview since he was severely injured in a New Year’s Day snowplow accident. The ABC News interview special is titled Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph and will air April 6. In the highly emotional two-minute teaser for the interview, Renner can be seen sitting with Sawyer as they discuss the severity of the injuries he suffered after the accident, which included eight ribs broken in 14 places as well as a collapsed lung and a pierced liver. “I chose to survive,” Renner tells Sawyer near the end of the clip. “You’re not going to kill me.
